Im pretty simple with the oatmeal. I dont like the quick cook stuff. Ick. I just mix it and some milk, heat it, then add a bit of brown sugar. But if Im feeling naughty I will add some chocolate chips. Its like eating a bowl of no-bake cookies!

I LOVE it the old fashion type
I seldom use the quick one due to its mushy for me..
I usually make it with powdered milk in a sauce pan with
nuts, raisins and brown sugar in it I sometimes add nutmeg to it.
My dd love peanut butter and when she eats her she sometimes puts
peanut butter in the bowl and then add the oatmeal to it Stirs and eat!!
This is filling and delish in my book of breakfasts...
* the one thing about the packets is the salt in it.. way to much
McD is way to sweet but I only know this due to I listen to the comments on it...

I'm going to have to try the peanut butter and chocolate chips....sometimes I wanta sweet treat and these sound like they would fit the bill.

ODD is preg and loves peanut butter so this would be a great one for her to try.

YDD loves peanut butter cookies and who woldn't like chocolate chips....I know DGS will think this is great, and who could ask for a better bedtime snack.

This morning, I put 1/2 cup of raw oats (whole, old fashiobned) in a dish, and added a little brown sugar, a couple of tbsp of non-fat dry milk powder, and a handful of raisins.

I have to admit that Im a fan of the instant stuff...........yea I know all about texture and all that but lets admit that instant is conveniant and much better than a bowl coco puffs.Im sorta craving anything with carbs right now.....been on a cutting cycle for a while and Im dreaming about baked potatos and biryani rice from trader joes
