"Fool Proof Pie Shells"
4 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cups shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup cold water
1 tbsp. vinegar
In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.
I remember my grandmother using vinegar in her pie crust, but have never heard of an egg in it.
