"Fool Proof Pie Shells"

4 cups all purpose flour

1 tbsp. sugar

2 tsp. salt

1 3/4 cups shortening

1 egg

1/2 cup cold water

1 tbsp. vinegar

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.

I remember my grandmother using vinegar in her pie crust, but have never heard of an egg in it.

I had tried a few over the years too, and they just seemed too much like paste...lol. This one is light and flaky. I still hve one crust in my fridge, maybe another custard pie is in order!! I checked the weather for tomorrow, in the 60's and cloudy...YEAH!!! Baking weather!!!!
