Do you leave the rind on or cut it off? Any particular reason why you serve it that way?

Unless it is a very informal event, I prefer to serve them as melon balls or at least chunks that can be managed with a fork.  Otherwise it just drip juices and messy to eat.

I probably wouldn't serve watermelon unless it was a casual outside event and then I would just cut it in wedges.

I would serve it cut into chunks or melon balls because its less messy and easier for people to eat.

It depends sometimes I do both that way its their choice.. My kids love the rind on and the adults like it off ...

Our BBQs are usually rather large so there is no I can ball that much watermelon for everyone. Usually we just cut it into nice triangles. I did just buy this neat slicer and it is seriously the next best thing since sliced bread:

It does wedges like an apple, plus the best thing is the center piece. :)

I love that slicer!  I cube my melon, fork friendly is best for my guests.
