Quinn had his first corn-on-the-cob tonight. He did just fine eating it too 
Loved it enough to ask for a second.

Love it! Kids discovering corn on the cob is always fun to watch. What could be better?
I went searching this morning trying to find your trick to tell if a corn cob is ready without removing the husk. I know its buried in the middle of another thread though, and couldn't find it. I can remember a little, had something to do with feeling around the top of the tassel and vague references to looking mildly obscene.......... but I can't remember the important part, how to tell if its ready to pick, lol.
I'd love to learn so I can teach Fred so he doesn't have to guess as much, and neither would we
