Quinn had his first corn-on-the-cob tonight. He did just fine eating it too :smileyhappy: Loved it enough to ask for a second.

Ok, so it kinda was what I thought. Next time I can catch Fred, I'll ask him if he knows that trick and we'll see if we can make it work :smileyhappy: I'm thinking it should be relatively easy once we start actually using it.

You grope feel the top of the ear to see if it feels "filled out."

I suppose I could have let him have at it without the stickers, considering his hands still managed to get messy enough, lol.

I went searching this morning trying to find your trick to tell if a corn cob is ready without removing the husk. I know its buried in the middle of another thread though, and couldn't find it. I can remember a little, had something to do with feeling around the top of the tassel and vague references to looking mildly obscene.......... but I can't remember the important part, how to tell if its ready to pick, lol.

I'd love to learn so I can teach Fred so he doesn't have to guess as much, and neither would we :smileyhappy:

Love it!  Kids discovering corn on the cob is always fun to watch.  What could be better?

Adorable! He is definitely enjoying himself. I love those first corn on the cob pics, I have one of my oldest.
