We have been having some beautiful days here in Alaska.  I got my pool up & filled and have been in it once, but I've still got lots of gardening and yard work to do.

today is looking to be yet another beautiful day as well.  And here I am lounging in bed reading, but darn I've had a bad headache yesterday and today as well.

There goes my preconceived notion of life in Alaska. I have never thought about it before, but if asked, I would have guessed that no one there has a pool because it's too cold. I learned something today.

Beautiful, sunny, and hot here today. High of 92°. DD has softball practice tonight and I will go for a run while she is on the field. I'll pack plenty of water.

I have family in Alaska.  I'd probably die up there.  I love the heat, and these past few weeks of temps in the 90's has made me a happy camper.  Linda, my ex-SIL is still working in Kotezbue, but married a man who lives in Anchorage and they bought property to retire on in Wasilla.  You will have new neighbors!  My neice is living up there with them, she's  middle shool age.

Boy we have n been hitting 80 degrees F every day so I have been in my pool several times.  Now I'm thinking of getting swimming lessons.  If I can conquer my fear of the water, I would end up being a swimming fool.  It's suppose to remain nice for awhile yet.

where in Wasilla will they be living, do you know Karen?

How old is the neice?  Maybe she would like to join the karate classes that we teach?  hahaha  It sure is a beautiful summer.  No rain at all so far.  I've been in my pool alot.  It is 4 ft. by 15 or 18 feet, so is pretty big.  Each year I want an even bigger one.  So who knows how big I will have it next year.

I think this fall I am going to go take swimming lessons and try to learn to swim.  Hope your having a great summer.
