I went insane again right on schedule this morning, and I have a chicken smoking in my oven.

I put the hickory chips in their own little foil cups, so that if things don't go well, I can get them out quickly with tongs.

Really? I'm surprised the hickory chips didn't do anything...well, you are going to reuse the, so nothing lost there. I like that you are always willing to experiment (& share the experience with us). It looks tasty! We do rotisserie chickens at work & I had a customer ask the other day if we do special orders on them. He thinks they are underdone & wants us to cook them all day for him!! Ummm, that's not going to happen!! They have to temp at 180 & are usually about 190, plenty done after 1:50, much longer than that & it would be charcoal on a skewer!

I do LOVE to experiment, that is how this board got it's name.

Lol on the cracker -- yuck! I used to work with a lady whose nickname was "peanut butter". During one of her pregnancies she got a craving for pb&j sandwiches with sauerkraut...30+ years later, it was still a favorite snack. Strawberry jelly only, though, she said grape didn't taste right!

Grape jelly only goes with swedish meatballs, LOL! She was right!

We went to a food truck event Saturday night, the burger truck has a mystery burger each day, my nephew who works for them, in some capacity, told us the burger was a pb&j bacon cheeseburger. Elijah was going to try it, but Keith described it with grape jelly & Lije changed his mind. I need to tell Keith to go with strawberry!

Be adventurous...grape jelly is the secret ingredient in all those party meatball recipes from the '60's!
