Hmmm, maybe I would like that. I'm not big on organ meats, except liverwurst, that I like. I don't like giblet gravy. DH is from Tulsa, I wonder if that is the type of bologna he grew up eating bbqed? He talks about BBQ bologna that his uncle used to do. The uncle was a butcher or owned a grocery store, maybe both, I don't know. I think he said they chunked it up & cooked it in the sauce on the grill. I love a thick slice of beef bologna fried up on a sandwich with a little mayo & tomato for breakfast.

I've never even heard of rag bologna, but since it is part of this conversation, I am going to guess I probably don't want to try it!! Please enlighten me on this one...

I remember always thinking scrapple sounded like a fun thing to eat -- scrapple, just sounds cool. Then I found out what it was...not so fun sounding anymore. I did actually try some at the breakfast buffet at our hotel in Lancaster, PA years ago...not impressed. I have worked in a grocery store deli for more than 8 years & have never tried any of the head cheeses or souse!! Just can't do it head parts in jello - YUCK!! I never tried the blood & tongue sausage, either...couldn't even slice that when I was pregnant!!
