I have only used pretzels in Chex mix, but that was a long time ago.
Yes, I buy pretzels all the time for a snack. DD and I like them dipped in dill dip. I also buy the frozen soft pretzels that you heat in the microwave for an after school snack for the kids. Good with mustard!

I like to get the extra salt off of things too.
My DH liked a lot of salt, and so does my oldest sister, I can't hack much salt on my food.
I got a really good tip from a Waitress/hostess at Chili''s, she said that their Southwest Eggrolls have a dip made from Wasabi and Ranch dressing mixed. It is excellent if you ever want to try it.
