Quick Drop Biscuits sound good to me, do you think these look good?
Well that would be scones here and not biscuits. In Brittish English Biscuits is more like cookies or crackers. And no we didnt have it, I was pondering to do griddle scones but run out of butter.
These are pretty close t0 the Bisqick Biscuits, but I'm like you, with stew/soup but gravy is one of my favotite ways to use them, not often, but I do like them.
My DH had a scone recipe that he got from his Scottish grandmother, they were delicious, and they asre better than biscuits IMO. Do you have a recipe for your griddle scones, Hannah?
I do, I will get the recipe for you later in the week. The secret with normal scones is to never twist the cutter, just straight down and also minimal handling of the dough. Delia Smith has a great recipe for scones.
This is the same recipe i use for the griddle scones http://www.scottishrecipes.co.uk/droppedscone.htm
and this the best scones recipe http://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/cuisine/european/english/buttermilk-scones-with-west-country-clotted-cream-and-raspberry-butter.html
Thank you Hannah, I have a hard time deciding which ones are better.
