Salt-and-Vinegar Potato Chip Fish

Use thick, kettle-cooked chips for best results in this simple twist on fish and chips. Serve with remoulade.
2 (6-ounce) cod fillets, or other white fish
¼ teaspoon sea or kosher salt
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
½ cup coarsely crushed kettle-cooked salt-and-vinegar potato chips

We are trying to eat more fish -- this sounds really good. Maybe not the least fattening, but I think we'll try it soon anyway!

Usually I eat mine plain...I don't even think I have any tartar sauce. If I am at a restaurant, I may use one or the other or even both, though. The best fish & chips I ever had was in England, in the bowling alley on base. We did have some on the beach in England, as well, in a paper cone...that was cool, just for the authentic experience, but really the fish & chips were run of the mill.

I usually have mine plain too, mainly because I don't like adding too many calories, but sometmes I'll put horseradish on my fish if I think it needs it.

No, I was stuck on base without a vehicle for most of the 7 weeks I was there. Coming back from London one time we stopped at there version of a Denny's type place & I think I had breakfast. I do know that both times I ate at KFC in England, I got sick.
I've never heard of putting horseradish on fish...I have only been eating horseradishy things for a couple of years.
