I like using Hawaian bread sometimes, Pannetone is interesting too. :)

I just made french toast for the kids last weekend when DH was hunting.  I used half a loaf of leftover strawberry-banana bread and half a loaf of leftover italian bread and served it with fresh maple pork breakfast sausage (for dinner).  The kids loved it.  Growing up my mom only made french toast using french or italian bread and my friends thought that was so cool (I guess their moms used plain old white bread).  Have you ever had overnight french toast?  We used to make that for Christmas morning.  Panetone does sound interesting.  I only like the chocolate version (go figure, haha).

An old friend made the overnight French toast for me one time, it was made with white bread.  It was good, I love French toast.

What is the chocolate version? Tongue Out

Panetone comes in the traditional (with dried fruits) and a chocolate chip version.
