Wednesday Wishes and Woes

Don't leave the house, if possible!! If not, drink lots of water & try to plan for only indoor activities, even the pool is too hot to hang out. Ice cream is always a good heat buster, too.

I love ice cream, but I have learned that less is more, a little goes a long way. DH likes a big bowl of ice cream, I like just a little scoop, eaten slowly.

Oh, he loves stuff on his ice cream, but he usually just eats it plain. When we were first dating he used to tell me about this ice cream concoction he liked...I can't remember what all it was, but ice cream, raisins, bananas, whipped cream & chocolate sauce for sure...I was going over to his house one night after he had gotten off work early (he worked swings & wasn't supposed to get off until at least midnight, I worked at 7:30 or 8 am, so getting together was a challenge sometimes) he asked me to "bring him something cool". I brought him all the fixin's & he was thrilled! His favorite sundae at our custard place is a Western -- hot fudge, caramel & salted pecans.
