I am not seeing anyplace here that talks about wine. It seems to be a hot topic around other areas on the net. So, here it goes.
I am sipping on a Pinot Noir, Cavit 2005 (imported from Italy). to be more specific. I am really liking this Pinot Noir. It is sweet, yet tart. It's tannins are very smooth on the palate. I can taste the plums, dark cherries, and blackberries. It comes with a very earthy scent of oak and there is a floral presence to this glass. The cork is of natural wood, with the color of a reddish brown liquid. Decanting this red wine did not require long standing, I assume because of its age. This paired well with the home made pizza I had tonight. On the wine scale, I give this 94/100. It is a very smooth Pinot, that is delicate to the taste buds.
Sounds delish! I usually drink Merlot, but have been drinking more Pinot Noir and Chianti lately. I love the color of the Pinot Noir.

Hi HopeMach, it's great to meet you, welcome to Parties & Entertaing. iVillage use to have a Wine 101 board, but it didn't last.
Do you ever cook with wine?
