Any ideas for ground pork or an oven roasted cooked chicken breast?

It seems that is my only choice right now.

I really need to shop very soon. Lol.

We use ground pork sausage with chopped potatoes, onions & bell peppers. Fry the pork, then add the veggies and cook. Quick, easy and filling. One of our favorite meals. Or maybe something like a Shepherd's Pie. For the chicken breast we'd probably do sandwiches but how about a stir fry with the chicken cut up & added.

Thanks Susanne, thinking I have had a crappy day so might go with the chicken. I found some salad veggies to use up too, so will factor those into the mix. Leaving the pork in the freezer for tomorrow night. Do you do any sort of gravy or sauce with the pork?

Bob's usually the one who cooks pork. I don't mind it but it's the one meat I can take or leave. He loves to try different bottled sauces or marinades that he finds at the store so I never know what it will taste like when he's done. It's almost always excellent since he's a really good cook.

Did the chicken but did not start till late so not exactly inspiring. Pork is still in the freezer. Trying to see if I can use the small amount of leftover chicken to make into a quiche for tonight. It is cold and wet so not sure I feel like that, but got to go with what I have here. I wish DH would cook for me. The closest I can get is getting him to pay for home delivered pizza. lol.

I do use ground pork in combination usually with ground veal to make lasagna. In fact this is what I think I bought the pork for then halved the recipe lol. My problem is that I really need to go shop and stock up on things but have been avoiding it. If today gets much wetter and any colder I just realised I might get away with making into a soup for tonight as long as I make some bread to go with it. Not used to thinking of soup when it is supposed to be summer, unless it is a chilled soup.

LOL I was going to say use it in a soup but you've thought of that! Nice to have a soup and fresh bread when it's chilly and raining!

I have a shopping application on my Ipad so I took that with me. I was on the way home last night and felt like a steak and of course had not bought any so stopped at the supermarket and came out with only two steaks and some bread and NOT a whole trolley load, which I thought was good.
