I need to start checking or local farmers market over the next month to see when they start getting in strawberries so I can make my annual supply of freezer jam for my youngest.  It's the only kind he likes :)

I also like to freeze strawberries for him for smoothies and blueberries as well for baking.   I almost forgot to mention cherries!  I love to pit and freeze them, then eat them while they are partially thawed.  One of my favorite summer treats.   I've never learned how to can, so I have to stick with my freezer.  I would like to learn someday.

Well, I can't really tell at this point. Depends on how my garden grow and/or how much on sale the fruits are this year. Hugs,

I used to can before I had babies.   Then my time got scarce.   I really, really miss it.   I hope to find time again one day.   I used to do green beans and blackberries.

I love strawberry jam.   Every early summer I say I am going to homemake some.   I even have Sure-Jel in my cabinet for my good intentions.   But, it never happens.

Its been so hot and dry here.  Not sure if I'm watering my garden enough as my poor carrots are barely up.  It's already almost August and it could start freezing within that  month.  I hope not.

I have yet to go out to check for blueberries.  I'm slow this year, but I have been in my pool  quite a bit though.  Once in I don't want to get out. I hope your summer has been a good one so far.
