Banana Ice Cream

Has anyone made banana ice cream, like this: http://blog.foodnetwork.com/healthyeats/2011/08/19/one-ingredient-banana-ice-cream/
I've made it and ate/served it right away, but I'm curious about refreezing as they suggest (as it can be time consuming/messy, so making in bulk would be awesome!). Has anyone done that? Would it melt like real ice cream if I left it out after refreezing? Not sure if a hardened version would be as good.
