Berry Cobbler
8 cups frozen berries
2 cups sugar
1/8 teaso nutmeg
1 1/2 T cornstarch
2 cups Bisquick
1 cup milk
1/2 teasp cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

In a large bowl combine the berries, 1 1/4 cups sugar, nutmeg, and cornstarch, stirring to blend.

Note: Can cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven till 400F

In a medium bowl blend the bisquick, 1/2 cup of the remaining sugar and milk.

Spread over the berries.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Brush the dough with the melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.

Bake about 30 minutes till the top is golden and the berries are bubbling. Rest 10 minutes before serving.

::sigh:: Bisquick. I know we can get it for a price but .... ::sigh:: I do have a recipe for homemade. Might dig that out and make some up so I can try this Suzi. Thanks!

I don't know if you want to experiment for me...smile... But I have been told to substitute the piklet mix from Woolies. You can add a little baking powder if wanting it lighter.Since I do have a box of the real thing at the moment I have not tried it. So maybe you want to try it for me sometime!
