Best kind o Crust for Pecan Pie?

What is the best tasting w/pecan pie?

I think the shortbread would be nice but I've only used plain old pie crust. I buy pillsbury and roll it out into the pan lol I'm not the best pie crust maker so I stick with that.

I've never had pecan pie with anything but a regular crust. Those others aren't really meant for baking so much, I don't think. They ate more for no-bake & short baking things, pecan pie takes a while & I'd be afraid it might burn.

Have to say I make mine. It's simple.

Pie Crust Ingredients

This recipe calls for:

2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
I Teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Sugar
6 Tablespoons Butter (not unsalted)
6 Tablespoons Shortening
6 to 8 Tablespoons Ice Water

I would suggest a pie crust one either buy a pre made frozen crust, make one from scratch or you could buy the ones they have in the margarine area in the store and roll it out or take it out of the package and put it in a pie plate.. I make my own but I have used the others just to see how they are..
Its a pecan pie I would use the regular type..
