It doesn't bug me for the most part, only if it is a long, loud, obnoxious call, or if it were at a really upscale restaurant, maybe.

I don't mind so much if they keep it quiet and short. What I do mind is if they continue on & on. We had Bob's aunt and cousin come for a visit. Almost the whole time they were here his cousin was talking on the phone to her boyfriend so we had to talk to his aunt over her chattering. That really p***ed me off. I thought it was extremely rude.

Unfortunately they seem to be part of life especially for work emergencies...mind you I am one of the few that don't own one, but all the alarms go through to DH's phone. Fine by me if calls are taken quietly. I hate it when people seem to shout and intrude on everyone around them. Then they are annoying...oh and I also hate loud rude ring tones that some young adults seem to find amusing.

Susanne that would get to me too. Just rude. Take a call if necessary, deal with it and get off, then visit with the people around you.

I think it's very rude , especially if a person has a loud voice. I don't mind if the call is short and their voice is discreetly quiet; I always leave to take a call though.

This guy went on and on and loud so that you could hear everything he said. For me I thought if you're out with friends you should try and keep it short or take the call later.

I agree Susanne, very rude of her when visiting! I try and get the kids to stay off their cells while eating dinner or if we're having family game night. Doesn't always work lol but at least they just text and not talk.

Suzi I'm one of the few also that doesn't have a cell, the kids and dh do but dh is very good at putting it on vibrate when we go anywhere. He also never answers when driving so the kids know to just text him and he'll check his messages when he gets to where ever he's going.

Yes it's the loud one's that really get to me! Same with shopping, walking around talking, not watching where they are going. At least in a store I can just move away and not have to listen.
