Whew! It's warm in here. It's 50 in the shade on the porch so probably closer to 60 in the sun. My kitchen is on the south side of the house so it's in the sun. With the oven on. So the back door is open, the kitchen window by the stove is open and I'm wearing a tank top. *lol* More like trying to bake in March or April than December.

The boys & I are making goodies tomorrow. Hoping to do cinnamon nut brittle, fudge, rice crispy treats, magic bars & maybe get to DH special request -- cheese balls. Levi wants to do some cookies, too, but we'll see...maybe Wednesday...

What are magic bars? Never heard of them. Everything sounds really good.

I'll take a dozen of each lol love all the cookies you're making! Nice that it's warm out but not nice when baking and the house heats up to much. At least you got to air the house out...That's the only part of winter I don't like, having the house closed up tight for months!

No matter what the weather we usually have the back door open, at least a little bit, so the dog & cat can go in & out. Looks like we're going to be dog sitting for at least 3 weeks, starting either next week or right after the 1st. A friend had a death in her family and she has to go to Europe to clear out a house.

I was going to do coconut ice, but forgot. I am so used to having dd here to bake and decorate cookies that I am missing it this year. Have not thought about sweet treats...in fact have not thought very much about food apart from cold meats, salads and prawns for the first Christmas dinner. After that, who knows and with stores all closed I really should get my act together. Lol
