Sorry, should have included more of the article. The dirty dozen are ones that are post likely to be contaminated with pesticides and whenever possible should be bought organic. The clean fifteen are ones that have thick skins and have to be peeled so are less of a problem.

News report was interesting-said the dirty dozen still have pesticides when washed because the pesticide penetrates the skin-the report said the amount of toxin was not dangerous to your health-if you care to believe the government! Then it said you may want to use organic items when thery are available! I remember reading that berries absorb the most toxins, so you may want to use organic berries when available! Supposedly organic berries taste better-I plan to give it a try!

Saw the story here last night. The one thing I have never seen organic, is berries. I will take a closer look and I bet a lot of other people will too. You just never know what you are putting in your mouth do you.

We have Whole Foods here and they have organic berries-I think Fresh Market does also. Target is carrying more organic produce now but I don't think they have berries.

It's kinda scary between produce, meat and medicines-we find out "down the road" the consequences of ingesting them!
