Hi there Hilary. There are some great recipes and ideas here on iVillage and I have to say using kitchen view makes them nice and clear. There were several burgers in that thread that I would like to try. The aussie one looked yum and the fish one and oh gee maybe I should just cook my way through them all LOL. Greek one looks yum and nice and simple. Probably having lamb here tonight waiting to hear who will be here for dinner. Was going to do chicken but think I will save that for during the week and try that new philly creme in the crock pot. Having people around mid week so I need to plan something, not thinking that far ahead yet.

OMG how is it possible that bub has grown that much so fast? Love the siggy!

So how did the burgers turn out?

Time is always a problem when looking around on the computer. Probably does not help that my watch is broken as well. Love to see different burger ideas. You can never have too many. I am a beetroot fan, always have canned on hand and buy fresh quite often. It really adds colour to a plate.

Oh no I hear the trash truck coming and I have not put the bin out. It is way too early. Now do I run out on the icy grass in my PJ's in the dark, ( did I mention the sun has not come up yet) or let it go on the slim chance DH put it out last night! ....hmmmmm...going to wait and take a chance. Strange it is about four hours early. Oh well that is my start to the day. Lol.

I hardly ever check the iVillage recipes either and have a couple of sites I visit regularly, and now apps on my iPad. Thinking it is time for me to check closer to *home* from now on! I love beetroot but it sure messes with your clothes if you splash yourself with the juice!

I bought some fresh beetroot for the first time yesterday Suzi. I have never cooked it but will tonight. Hey, will check iVillage to see how to do that LOL! Thinking baking will do the trick! Hope you got the bins out in time!

How often does that happen to me. I decide to be creative with dinner and then the day gets busy and we eat the same old, same old, tried and true and quick! I went through a stage where I made the effort to try something new, not necessarily exotic LOL! every day. I should do that again!

Where did the week go? We ended up going to a vineyard to stay a night, (wonderful food, the lobster thermidor was worth the drive) ...really just happened at the last minute so did not cook apart from mushroom soup on the weekend.
