Stop and say hi, friends, new friends and lurkers!

It's pumpkin and apple season, have you gone apple picking, pumpkin picking or just buy them from a stand or store? Have you made any yummy things with apples and pumpkins yet? Are you moving away from warm weather foods to cool weather foods or do you cook the same all year round?

Haven't gone picking anything or even bought apples or pumpkins. I don't make things either usually. I do make cookies once the weather cools off which will make my granddaughter very happy. :-) We do use the oven more in the winter for things like fish sticks, tater tots, frozen pizza and cookies. The one major thing we have at least once a winter is DH's buffalo stew.

Well I am here and came to do a roll call but you beat me to it lol. Let's see right now it does feel like a cold autumn here (close to winter) and it should NOT. It should be beautiful Spring. Unfortunately this has thrown out my day as the family goes to a long (1000km) V8 car race this coming weekend

You are soooooo lucky having a DH that likes to cook, and does it. We are having a friend over a lot for dinner between now and end November as his wife is away for Cancer treatment and he does not cook at all. That is a long time to live on cereal and a sandwich. I do use my big over a lot more in the cooler weather, it is great and warms up the house as well as cooks. lol. Otherwise I tend to use the smaller convection/microwave one...I so totally love it. I have not make cookies in ages I tend to now leave that to my girls..of course I am always available to taste test...grin. So nice you do it for your granddaughter.
