I haven't been in the stores lately, but it wouldn't surprise me. I think it's crazy! It used to be you never saw anything until after Thanksgiving and then it was after Halloween. They keep going and we'll be seeing Christmas stuff out at the 4th of July. And no, we haven't done any Christmas shopping and don't know how much I will do. We'll have to get something for the little kids.

Oh that does sound cute Kim. I have done a bit of shopping. Problem is I put things away for Christmas then get caught out with a birthday or something so end up giving them away early. I have a Jamie Oliver cookbook and another big hardcover one for the girls. Yesterday I grabbed a couple of wooden maracas for the little boys. I got a really cute 3 year olds party dress on E bay. We have a birthday to get to before Christmas and am looking at a coffee machine for that, not sure as DH likes to go to the coffee shop before work, so might be a waste. Need to borrow someone's brain and think it through.

The one that got me last year was hot cross buns, they were in the stores what seemed like right after new years. I won't be decorating outside this year, gave away all my lights to charity but need to consider the tree and having 1 and 3 year old boys around it. It might have to go in the lounge room this year so I can shut it off. At the rate Christmas is speeding towards us I guess I should start planning soon. Maybe when you see a fair on you should go take a quick look and see if you can pick up a few small things for the kids. I saw some really nice dolls at a garage sale.

Last year we bought the 3 year old a small bicycle that'll last him a couple of years. We also got the 3 & 7 yr olds their own magazine subscriptions. I just renewed them as we've been told they love the magazines and look forward to getting their own mail. Both kids have more toys than they have room for, especially the 3 year old. The 7 yr old already has her own sewing machine and other craft items, a kitten, fish, lizards, a corn snake and a lot of books. She's also got a surfboard, wetsuit, skateboard and now is taking riding lessons. I need ideas. *LOL*

Any idea if the older one has an iPod? If so how about an iTunes voucher for whatever amount you like. Something else might be one of the kids cameras I know a three year old that loves one. I saw one that was $19. There are always Sesame Street DVD s. They are $5. There are lots of DVD s out there. Clothes are great and backpacks too. Barbies are still popular. Anything from the leap frog learning system is really popular. Hope something there might help.

LOL the problem is when I buy something for the girls I end up giving it to them! I bought a dvd and beaded necklaces and gave them to the girls the other day. I have to stop doing that!

Gift card to a craft store so she can pick out the crafts/cloth she likes would be nice. Look online for cheap beads and threading to make her own jewlery is nice to.
