Doing any shopping?

Doing any cooking?

Maybe eating out or getting take away/out?

Here the weekend is nearly over, so far on Friday night did pork chops on the bbq. Make a simple bbq sauce to go with them that was nice. Let's see Saturday could not put off shopping any longer so hit the supermarket. BAD move....spent too much (smile).

It actually sounds pretty busy around your place. The cottage we stayed in a few weeks ago had the front of the kitchen cupboards all open and I have to say it was really easy to grab what you needed and no temptation to pile messy stuff in there, out of sight out of mind, kind of thing. I hope you did not overdo it with the sweeping and yard work. Maybe go soak in a hot bath and tomorrow relax while watching the nascar race. With your weather cooling down it probably is a perfect time to be working on a baby blanket. March sounds like ages away, but it is suprising how fast the time passes and that precious little boy will be here.

The doors that were on the kitchen cabinets when we moved in were big, plywood and warped. Because the space is so small we always had to be careful opening the doors so we didn't hit someone in the head. I put the curtains up so it would look nicer, which it did, but found the curtains were always in the way or getting dirty.

It sounds like you found the perfect compromise. Maybe you can have them open for half the year and put the curtains for the other six months. If any cupboards are on floor level you could put the material back when the new baby arrives and is on the move, just to hide what is in there. Kitchens have great things to play with.

I left the doors on the bottom cupboards because there are only 3 doors and they aren't as big as the upper ones were. If we see the new baby as seldom as we see the rest of the family now it won't be an issue.

I'm a little late lol weekends over! Friday went to Michaels to look at some craft things, Saturday went the the craft fair at the church and Sunday dh and I cut wood and then went out to dinner. We visited a few of the antique shops in town then went to the courthouse (pub) for dinner. Nice night out alone for us!

LOL You never know bub might visit a lot. Last night the 2 year old came for her first swim of the season. Turned on the pool heat late this year so it is still heating up. It was lovely watching her, even if she did splash me. LOL.

LOL It is never too late to reply. Sounds like you had a greeat weekend...well apart from the wood cutting, but I am sure you will be pleased to have that wood as the weather gets colder. The heat has finally hit here so yesterday turned on the A/c for the first time. Did you find anything nice at the craft fair? I love looking around and seeing what people make. Hey can I come to that courthouse, lol, hope dinner was nice. Nice to sometimes just be the two of you isn't it.

Yes it is and we had a very nice dinner and quiet walk around town. LOL forgot on Sundays the town (stores/antique shops) close at 5 so only got to look around 2 before they all closed. I did find a few things at the craft fair...Ornaments made out of CD's, very cute, bought tickets to the raffle (didn't win lol) and dh bought doggie cookie mix.

Ornaments made from CD's sound interesting. Pity you did not win the raffle. I have never bought doggie cookie mix although I am sure Teddy wishes I had LOL. Not sure what treat I will make him for Christmas.
