You lot had something like this happen with spinach a while back!

I buy the bagged product occasionally but even though it says that it is prewashed WASH IT just in case!

Been told you should NEVER wash the greens. Since they are prewashed you are more likely to have bacterial issues by re-washing them.

Ok forgive me if I repeat this. I typed and hit post and can't see it.

It must be different here. As Hilary said we are told to always wash, it is even printed on the bags of greens and with fresh you often see the dirt on there so need to wash. I do wash and used to have a salad spinner but it took up too much space so now use a clean tea towel, just put in the lettuce, kind of wrap it up and spin around. Great except when any tries to escape. I am sure you can get a mental picture of that. Lol....what an image!
