500gr/1lb ground beef
1 large red onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tblsp dried oregano
1 small red capsicum/bell pepper, finely chopped
Handful of chopped flat leaf parsley
Handful of chopped fresh basil leaves
Combine all of the above with your hands.
Add about 1-2 Tblspoons of red wine, work it in and season with pepper and salt.
Divide into 3 balls then flatten into patties.
Refrigerate 1/2-1 hour.
Cook on the bbq or in a little butter in a pan about 3-5 minutes a side till done.
Serve sandwiched in a fresh or toasted bun with salad greens and tomato slices.
