Ever seen people exit a pool super fast? Here we were with the family sitting around or swimming in the pool calmly having a pleasant evening with only a few clouds in the sky,

So happy you all got to safety and not to much damage done! The weather here is cold but looks like a warm up for the weekend. About 45-50 so will be nice to work out in the yard or do wood. Not sure what one but think dh is leaning towards the wood.

How scary! Glad you had to serious damage. Here is foggy in the mornings with sunny days. Temps back in the high 20s at night, 50s/60s during the day. Still no rain in sight.

Wood sounds a good idea but make sure DH is careful with the chain saw this time. No more accidents.

Strangely here it has turned into a beautiful hot day. Goodness knows what tonight will bring.

Debating using the pool tonight. Goodness knows what will happen. At the moment blue skies and nice and hot. Your neck of the woods in quite warm, at least during the daytimes. I hope you get some rain soon.

Glad you are safe and sound Suzi! Thinking a HOT weekend coming up for you so fingers crossed no more storms. It was cool and muggy here today which meant I had some fun on my laptop! I also on a whim bought a new camera today. Sick of crappy photos! Now to figure out how to use the thing LOL!

I got my camera last April and still only use the basics. I read the short instruction book but not the big one. Lol. Most of the time auto works for me, especially to catch fast moving kids. The problem is my holding it still. Have fun with yours.

Red Flag Warnings (high fire danger) have gone up along the western slopes of the Sierras in northern California and Fire Watches (moderate fire danger) are in force through the Sacramento Valley. Humidity is low, about 15% over there and it's going to be windy. We don't get Red Flag Warnings in January. Crazy.

Yesterday there were 68 temperature records set across the US. Rapid City, South Dakota, was warmer than Miami, Florida! There is little snow, people were jogging in shorts & tank tops in New York Ciity and out playing golf in Chicago.

It would be horrible to get a freezing spell and run out of wood. Hope you got it done. The weather here went nuts again with fast storms but the family did get to swim first so that was good. The pool is now too full to filter properly but after all the years of drought I can't bring myself to pump it out.
