Pasta with tomatoes, basil and garlic

1 lb. angel hair pasta
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cup fresh tomatoes, diced
1 tsp. basil
3/4 cup chicken broth
parmesan cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat olive oil
in a skillet, add garlic and cook for one minute. Add tomatoes, basil,
salt and pepper, heat through. Add hot pasta to skillet and toss well.
Add chicken broth and stir. Toss with parmesan cheese.

I am thinking it would be dry without the chicken broth, but am thinking probably half a cup tossed through would do. I think it is one of those nice easy recipes that would taste great when wonderful fresh tomatoes were available, oh and with the garlic, crushed in a mincer would be fine, or very finely chopped by hand, or even the crushed stuff out of a jar, whatever you like.

Yes I agree with Suzi on the garlic, you could really use whatever, minced in a jar is fine. The broth keeps it from being to dry...

can I add Italian seasoning in stead of salt and pepper - do I need a lot of S/P?
