Teriyaki Steak Kebabs for the BBQ

1kg/2 lbs. boneless sirloin steak

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup vinegar

2 Tblsp brown sugar

2 Tblsp minced onion

1 Tblsp vegetable oil

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 tsp. ground ginger

1/8 teasp pepper

Reminds me of a 'steak on a stick" recipe I used to make-I use sherry instead of vinegar and 1/4 c honey instead of brown sugar-I used a variety of steaks-boneless sirloin, flank steak, sirloin tip or London broil. DH loved this with a twice baked potato and a green salad and of course fresh bread!

The original recipe might have used honey, but the brown sugar takes a little longer to go black as I guess it dissolves more. Works great for lots of cuts. Oh yum with the twice baked tarred and salad. Lately I seem to be eating lots of fresh bread. Not necessarily good...but oh so yummy!
