Is your family stuck in a peanut butter and jelly rut? Mix it up with one of these nutritious and tasty sandwiches:

One alternative that goes over well is to a combo bagel and yogurt meal. I buy smaller ice packs to use to keep the items cool, and also refrigerate whatever drink I'm putting in it. You can also freeze the yogurt that comes in the portable pouches so that it will thaw out by lunchtime, but still be nice and cold.
I like the pizza bagel idea, my kids would go for that one, and my version would be much healthier than a store bought one. I wonder if my kids would like the apple and cheddar sandwich?
Cream cheese with reduced-sugar jam on whole wheat bread
Apple butter with apple slices on whole wheat bread
Pizza roll-ups (whole wheat tortilla, pizza sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni- rolled)
I also keep their drinks in the fridge so it keeps the whole lunchbox cool and we freeze yogurts as well. They thaw out perfectly by lunch time and keep everything else cool!
