Anything planned?

I laid out a sirloin for DH to grill.  I'll make some type of potatoes, sweet corn, and applesauce.  Salad for Nat and I.

Another welcome to Q&E!

Well I was going to toss down a quick bite and head out to the "Y" for my Zumba work out but life was not good to me today and I had knots in my stomach most of the day.  John came home from work instead of working late so he could try to make me feel better.  It worked but it is too late for the Y so I'll toss a couple of burgers on the grill along with two huge portabella mushroom caps.  The caps will be the base for our burgers.  I have a couple of fresh corn on the cobs I'll probably steam for us.

Hope you feel better today, Renee.... you too, Sandy!

We had a change of plans... when Amber and I got home after picking up the kids, Ashleigh had 2 Little Caesar's pizzas (those hot & now deals). She said she didn't want to cook and mess up the kitchen so she just got that instead... gotta love a girl who wants to keep the kitchen clean!

Swai is a mild whitefish.  It's pretty cheap so I always have it on hand.  It's very good.   I grill it in foil packets.

I must admit, I've never had any type of fish besides pan fish (walleye, bass, perch, blue gill). I do love fish and probably should eat it more. Tracy (and anyone else), what do you do to it and what is your step by step process for grilling it. We always pan fry our fish and that's probably why we don't have it much; same thing over and over.

I like to use the box of batter that you can get in the grocery store near the fish. I am not a big fish lover but when I do eat it, I like it as unhealthy as can be... lol. Battered with lots of Kraft Tartar Sauce!

we usually pan fry our in an egg wash with a cracker crumb crust.  But if we're going to deep fry (big fish fry) it's beer batter all the way!!
