We are starting a Biggest Loser competition at work today. We are computing by percentage of weight lost. 7 people are getting in on it and there is $140 for the winner. We are doing this through April 1st. I have to admit it's a little intimidating. I've never tried to lose or really even manage my weight before. Truth be told, I used to smoke. I quit several years ago. And when they say you gain weight when you quit, they aren't kidding. I gained more from quitting then I did with either of my pregnancies! I'm looking to lose between 10 and 20 pounds. I know diet and exercise are important, which I need to be better about. Planning will be the key. Any and all help, advise, and tips are greatly appreciated. Any WW recipes are also appreciated. I will search here, pinterest, and the internet for WW and healthy recipes to "fool" my family into eating. :)
Dr Phil said the other day that will power has nothing to do with it. It's all about programming yourself to do it.

Susan, I'd love to know where you have 20 pounds to lose from. But, we'll be there. I am in too. I have got to lose 40-50 pounds. I just don't like the way I look. I have been scouring Pinterest for lower fat/cal recipes. I'll post what I find here.
Believe it or not, I was in the overweight category. I can stand to lose some.
Somebody needs to calibrate their scales!!! No way are you overweight, Susan! But, I know what you are saying... if it takes losing a few pounds to feel better about yourself, that's okay.
We are trying to eat better too.... so I'm all for any good recipes. My niece is getting married in TX in June and I would LOVE to lose 30 lbs before that!
I am thinking you already make Skinny Chicken Nuggets, but if you don't, you should! They are really good. Erick likes them a lot, and the kids, too. I believe Candice posted this recipe originally:

Preheatoven to 425°. Spraya baking sheet with olive oil spray.
Put the olive oil in one bowl and the breadcrumbs, panko and parmesan cheese in another.
Season chicken with salt and pepper, then put in the bowl with the olive oil and mix well so the olive oil evenly coats all of the chicken.
Put a few chunks of chicken at a time into the breadcrumb mixture to coat, then on the baking sheet.
Lightly spray the top with olive oil spray then Bake 8 - 10 minutes. Turn over then cook another 4 - 5 minutes or until cooked though.
I need to loose 100-150. . . . . . my BFF Shannon, got engaged on Christmas eve, and it just dawned on me that I'm gonna have to fit this fat @$$ into a dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been using My Fitness Pal to keep me aware of how many calories I am putting into me daily. I find it easy and fun to use and it worked for me. I dropped 17 pounds and have been able to keep it off even during the past holiday eating season. You can keep track of what you eat and it calculates "extra" calories for any exercise you do including cleaning house. I do not count calories I just log in what I eat. By just changing a recipe slightly or by making the better choice when eating out can get you on track.
The chicken nuggets are good. I actually made baked chicken tenders for dinner on Tuesday. I do make mine a bit differently - I left the chicken tenders in strips instead of cutting them into nuggets -
then - put them into a bowl with cold water - add one - two tablespoons of lemon juice
I used whole wheat breadcrumbs and I change up the seasonings depending upon my mood - sometimes I use garlic powder and Italian seasoning mix, sometimes I make them spicy and sometimes just plain.
I then line a cookie sheat with foil and spray the pan, put the breaded chicken onto the pan and lightly drizzle olive oil over them. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degress - take them out and turn them over - drizzle lightly again with olive oil and bake for another 15 minutes.
I have put cheese into the breadcrumb mixture but usually leave it out. It saves on the calorie count and to us you can't really taste the cheese any way.
I love My Fitness Pal. I got away from it because I knew I wasn't doing right and didn't want the in my face reminder. I love the extra calories you get for exercise. I finsihed the day yesterday right on target. Although it was hard adding in the nachos because there is no option for 1/2 a serving. Although I am sure the plate we had, half of it is one serving. It's big. We get that dish a lot. I like it because it's chicken breast meat in melted cheeses (bad, I know) but I don't like sour cream on nachos so Jeff eats it all. I get the chips, chicken, cheese, lettuce, and jalapenos. He gets the tomatoes too.
I make a chicken dish like you described, Sandy. I coat the chicken, usually tenderloin strips, in bread crumbs and dry lemon pepper seasoning, moistening with lemon juice. I then bake them. DD loves that dish.
Those chicken nugget/strips sound good! I did make the skinny nuggets once and thought "eh". They were okay. Maybe I need to "spice" it up a little.
My Fitness Pal app on the phone. I have tracked breakfast and lunch so far. I will get some calories "back" when I exercise, right? I only have 300 remaining and I DO plan on eating supper tonight! lol
Tracy - you've mentioned posting from your phone. I got the ivillage app, but have no idea where to find the boards. TIA
