They don't have to be "eat healthy" or "lose weight" either! I want to learn how to make bread. I'm always surprised by the fact that so much bread contains high fructose corn syrup. Since we eat it every day I thought it would be a good change to make. I'd also like to learn hos to make yogurt and cheese...we'll see if I actually have the time for that!

What are your food-related goals for the coming year?

Oh - I also want to get DH to eat more veggies! {Yes, wish me luck!}

You would be amazed how many veggies you can hide in things like meatloaf, stuffed peppers, chili, spaghetti sauce & soup.

I want to be better organized and more determined to make my menu and get groceries on a regular basis so I have no excuse not to cook more often.

Would you believe that I've never made meatloaf!? My mom made me eat it once when I was sick as a kid. I ended up throwing up and have never eaten it since. I think it's probably safe to try it again now. :smileyvery-happy:

Daisy, I've always heard people say that making - and sticking to - a menu is so helpful. I've never been able to think and plan that far ahead though. I guess I'm a "fly by the seat of your pants" kind of girl.

LOL Tracy! Sure it does. I'm with you there - I need to control my chocolate habit a bit better!

Kellie... I know it will help me if I'd just do it.... I've done it in the past ... in fact, for many years. But, for some reason, I am having problems doing it for the last year... I think part of it is that my hubby & daughter both work pretty much second shift and I am alone from around 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm when Ashleigh gets home... but hubby doesn't get home until midnight and I am snoozing away by then. If we were able to all sit down together and eat, it might be easier for me.

I think I'm going to have to say that I want to find some more creative side dishes that the kids will eat. And I'd really like to eat fast food less. For my waistline and my wallet!
