And look, I could get on from work today.   As of last night, home computer is still a no-go.   I try and try and try every day.   And no matter what I do, I am not logged in.   I don't get an Not Authorized to Post message, I'm just not logged in.

What''s going on this weekend?   What's happened this week?   Any cooking inspiration?

I made homemade pizza (using up banana peppers) Monday night, had Chicken Tortilla Soup Tuesday night (baseall scrimmage night so a Crock Pot meal was a must), picked up KFC the next night (softball practice from 5:30-8:45 on the other side of town), and last night I grilled pork chops with Crash Hot Potatoes and salads.

Tonight it's just DD and me.   I am making chicken stir fry.   I'll make that with a stir fry sauce I have in the fridge, adding pineapple juice to it.   I have bell peppers and banana peppers in the garden we can add, as well as fresh pinapple chuncks, carrots and fresh broccoli.   Serve over brown rice.

Then she and I will be at a softball tournament all day tomorrow, with the ex taking DS to his baseball tournament.

I knocked out my weekly grocery run last night.   I knew I'd be pressed for time all weekend.

Saturday night, I'll cook something, but likely won't be able to log on to tell anyone about it.

Sunday, as soon as softball and baseball are over, I am off to a gambling boat with Jeff.   He has a voucher for 2 free buffets at Horseshoe.

Okay, none of my other posts are showing up for me... yet... but I'll try this anyway.

So, did you win anything at the gambling boats, Tracy?  I'm pretty sure you enjoyed the meal too... =)

I didn't have too much planned over the week-end, just normal household crap and Family Breakfast on Saturday.  I had to cut it a little short because I needed to get to a local golf course and set up our credit card machine.  A couple local UAW groups had a golf outing to benefit Children's Miracle Network.  My co-worker, the director of CMN, went later and she will bring the machine back to me later today.

After that I just watched the kids while my girls and my hubby went shopping for Ashleigh a new bed.  She's been saving for it since we got back from Texas.  They both like to take their dad with them for any big purchase because he can dicker and get them a lower price!  They also went out to lunch and both girls said it was "like old times" hanging out with their dad all day.

Ash got one of those mattresses with the cooling memory gel on top... a queen size and it was only $1,000 out the door. They told her $1,050 but my hubby told them she only had $1,000 cash so they said okay... the $1,050 was a good deal too but he usually always gets them down even lower.,.....he is good!

The owner of the place lives next door to our nephew (the cop at a neighboring county sheriff department) so he got her a pretty good deal... the same mattress at a couple other places were close to $2,000.  She figured she'd get a queen size so that when she moves out she will already have a bigger bed to take with her.

I cannot decide if I want to squeeze her current bed in her old room with the other twin bed that's already in it or put it downstairs.  Will have to decide soon, her frame comes in Thursday and the mattress & box springs on Friday.

I had leftover jambalya Friday night, cooked tacos Saturday night and yesterday made taco dip with the leftover taco fixins...

I had planned to make a big pot of soup but I came down with the flu on Saturday, so needless to say, it didn't get made, maybe next Saturday.

As for the weekend, I spent most of it in bed, but DH had a busy day on Saturday with the plumber.  Let me tell you a little story  ;-)

Way back in March DH and a friend decided over lunch one day (I wasn't there) that they would renovate our ensuite bathroom.  DH is not a handyman at all, but his friend knows what he is doing and said they would have no problems doing it between them on the weekends.  I asked how long it would take and was told it would definately all be finished by the end of April.  You know what I'm going to say next, don't you?  We have tiles on the floor and a few on the wall but work has pretty much come to a halt.  So, to cut a very long story short, DH has decided to get someone in to install the toilet and vanity at least.  Trouble is, they can't be installed until the tiles are at least put up in those areas.  The plummer was here to replace some of the old pipes and move some of the fixtures so that they will fit the new toilet and vanity.  I'm getting a bit anxious because over the next few weeks we will have family members staying and it would be great to at least have those two things in working order but I doubt it is going to happen in time.

Well, I can log on from work.   It will be two weeks on Thursday since I was able to get on from home.   Tech says they don't know what's wrong and they don't have the same issues.   So, there you have it.   Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe what I feel.   I adored this place.

Elaine, that bathroom story sounds so typical for any man I know.   I hope you get it fixed up soon.
