My grandmother used to use a word that sounded like that to describe my father. He is always early everywhere he goes. She'd laugh and say that's her aloger... something or other son. I haven't heard it in years.
You got me this time, this word can't be google nor exist in the 4 English dictionaries we have and none of us have heard it, not even my British mother in law.
YAY me. I have no intention of ever using the word, unless it's to jab at my dad.
I only did that my dear when we drew a blank.
Normally I don't. but when my husband , his mum and my British friend who is a linguist couldn't figure out it, we googled and google came up blank. Nor any other search engine would give me or my friend what this meant, we got curious.
Where do you get your words of the day?
Well it was good one, I like it.
I could give you some cockney rhyming slang and see if you can figure out what it means.
