Q&E Babble
Fri, 12-21-2012 - 7:34am

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Oh how I do not envy the queasy stomach and food/smell aversions, Mel.   Mine was barbecue sauce.   I love the stuff normally.   With both pregnancies if I smelled a hint of it I was running for the bathroom.   I wonder why the body does that?

How was preschool, Guss?   Did she have fun?

Renee, I was getting ready to send to search dogs out for you.   Glad you stopped in.

I was bored to tears at work yesterday.   There was almost no one in the building.   I walked endless laps around the place.   I ended up with slightly over 3 miles.   So, YAY!

I did end up having to work last night.   It went fine.   And it's done for another year.   So, another yay!   Off to scrape ice off the car.   Where I never drove my own car yesterday, just my work one, it's still iced over.   And I have to get DD to softball.

Morning Ladies -

Well according to what I see no one has been on here in almost 24 hours!!!  What's up with that???  Everyone must be pretty busy this weekend.

Heading out soon to my Zumba classes.  Then home to shower and get dressed. Then heading over to the mall to poke around a bit.  Back home to finish up the laundry and take care of a few other things.

Just need to decide what to make for dinner tonight.  We went out last night to our favorite local hamburger place.

What's everyone else up to today???

I'm here.   I have been up a while, piddling around the house, talking on the phone, etc.   My friend Kim owns rental peoperty.   She has a problem renter she has been trying to evict since December.   She hasn't seen any rent since September.   He assured her he will be out by this weekend.   Now it's next weekend.   What a mess.   She makes me shutter at the thought of being a landlord.   She has to keep paying the mortgage, with no income to cover it.   So we are hoping he really will be gone next weekend.   We were plotting going over there on next Saturday and starting the clean out.   She is anticipating a horrible mess.  Jeff and I are going to help her clean and he will do some handyman stuff for her.   Exciting morning.

Getting ready to get the boy up and go to church.   Kim's DD is here and I am going to let them stay here and sleep.

After church we'll do lunch and I need to get laundry started.   I'll workout in there sometime too.

Weekends go way too fast.

Here too..

Been up awhile- Molly picked up a day shift so I went over and got Kynsie and Dominic at 6:30.. They were both sleeping so I did her dishes and took out her garbage =).. Came home and made sausage and eggs..John is gazing at Dominic =). Kynsie is - well Kynsie is Kynsie- busy busy,

No it isn't fun being a landlord when the renters suck.. We are blessed right now- one single guy, works thirds, never see or hear from him. Pays the rent one week early - love the guy!  Hope your friend gets the rent money or he leaves - which might be for the better!

Well I started this awhile ago- gotta get moving- going to make lasagna today =)..

Monday morning, ugh.   How I don't like you.   My only happy thought is that I am overtime free this week.  I got up early and worked out.   I moved up a level on my DVD.   Excited about that although I know I will be sore.   There was a lot more arm work.   I need that.   My arms look like a kimono at times.

Glad to hear Molly isn't hurt too badly, Renee.  Was she in the her work lot?   I am sure she loved not having to worry about supper.

I spent a sort of lazy day.   I did the church thing, got DS's hair cut, then came home to clean.   I scrubbed on the tile in my shower.   It's such a pain to clean.   I read a thing on Pinterest about using disinfecting mouthwash to clean some things with, and the bathroom tile was on that list.   I gave it a try.   It did work, and left the shower smelling minty fresh, but I can't say that it did any better than my usual liquid Lysol or Mr. Clean.   I clean with ammonia a lot too, but working in that small a space, for a long time, I can't do the fumes.

After that I knocked out the laundry and cleaned out the kids' dresser drawers.

I cooked dinner, we watched some TV and then went to bed.   Although bedtime got wild.   The girl put a whoopie cushion under her brother's pillow so when he went to bed it exploded and that fired him up and I had to get them calm all over again.  It was kind of funny though.

Morning Ladies -

I had a nice "me" day yestereday.  John went into the office so I decided to go shopping after I got home from the "Y".  I treated myself to some special teas at the Green tea House and a tea tumbler to take to work with me.  One of my coworkers has one and it is pretty neat.  Looks like this -

It keeps tear hot for hours so you can leave it on your desk and drink at your lesiure.  It is a great little shop and can sample all kinds of different teas.  I had so much fun.  I also went to the mall and pretty much just walked around looking at "stuff".  Got home and made dinner.  Watched some TV and went to bed.  Now it is Monday Morning -  they are saying we are going to get snow turning over to sleet and freezing rain this afternoon making the ride home during rush hour pretty slick - UGH!!!!

Tracy, that does suck about your friends tenant. Hope the guy gets out. Sounds like our old neighbor, the squatter.

Sandy, that tea tumbler looks like something I would want. We don't have a tea store here. What kinds did you get?

Mel, did your friend actually name her baby Vidalia or was that part of your dream? Mel, you will need that extra $60 for the baby. They need a lot of stuff. Sounds like you are doing well on your own anyway with the WW.

Ladies, I thought I would ask for extra prayers since you guys seem to have the magic touch. My mom's dh is in the hospital This is the 2nd time this has happened. He has an obtructed bowel. He was in so much pain, laying on the bathroom floor. Anything with the bowel or colon scares them because he had colon cancer a few years ago. Also. Ray has a follow up appt today with the heart doctor. He had to wear a heart monitor for a month. Has had some fluttering and irregular heartbeat so hopefully they will find out why today. He's there as we speak. Thanks in advance.

You got it Missy!  Here's to a clean bill of health for Ray and your mom's DH.

Mel - you will most certainly need that money for the baby!  When my sister found out she was pregnant she started buying diapers.  She would buy a pack (and rotate different sizes) each week or 2 with her shopping.  That way it really spread out the cost.  I thought it was brillant!

5-Day Forecast

62 tomorrow and 30 on Wednesday...I see another round of sickness heading our way!  Rain at the beginning of the day and snow at the end.  Good 'ol Ohio!  Although I hope I can get out and run tomorrow.  I would love to get out in the fresh air!  Slept like poo last night.  Sure sounds like DH was sleeping good though.  He snores like a band saw.  I don't know how to get him to quit.  Grrr.

Sandy - that tumbler does look neat!  I would love to sip at my own pace!  I usually make about 12 oz of tea in the mornings and most of the time its luke warm when I'm finishing it.

Weigh-in's this morning at work.  Lost another lb.  4 total, in about 3 1/2 weeks.  The weight isn't coming off too fast, but the exercising is making me feel good!

Susan you are kidding about the weight not coming off right????  You really didn't expect to drop 10 pounds already did you?  You need to drop the weight slowly so it stays off.  I have gotten back into the exercise routine and watching closer what I put in my mouth and I have gone the other way.  It is mostly water bloat and will take time for the couple of pounds to come back off.

I am using my tea tumbler and I really like it!  Keeps the tea nice and hot.  I got three different teas - one called "Youthberry" - tastes like blueberries etc.,  peach olong and coconut spring.  Of course they do not taste the same as in the Teahouse mostly because they put honey in them.  I forgot to bring in the agave I have at home so I am drinking it plain.
