Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Cute, Susan! I never would have thought to use cookie cutters for a cheese ball.

Tiramisu= made and "setting"

Jalapeno Cheese Grits for tomorrow morning= made

Spaghetti sauce=  simmering; almong with browned hamburger in it

Meatballs to add to the sauce=  in the oven

I think I will make either the broccoli or the corn pudding next, then put off the other until tomorrow.   I am getting tired.

That is very cute, Susan. I never really liked cheeseballs until Daisy brought them to our summer trips. I really like hers.

I am done- waiting for help. I need someone to ride with me to my parent's house to hold the spaghetti sauce pot at their feet so it doesn't slosh over while I drive there. They need to hurry up and get here.

Susan, on that weather map, I am in the green area. What is that prediction? It's cut off on my view.

I am pooped!  Just finished getting the house and food ready for tonight.  My cousin just called and said she is not feeling well so they won't be coming tonight.  That's ok I still have 20 - 21 people coming.  There is something bad going around not sure if it is flu or not but John's cousin cancelled the graduation party for her son on Saturday night because both she and her husband are sick too.

We got a call from one of my cousins that my Aunt passed away Saturday morning.  They live in North Carolina.  She was the last of my Mom's sisters.  There is only my Uncle who lives in Tennessee left on that side of the family.  I think she was about 80.  Not 100% sure.  Had not seen her in quite sometime.  They use to live in Connecticut and my Uncle (her husband) is buried here.  They are going to have a burial service here in the spring.

I am really tired.  I think I am going to lay down for a while before I have to get in the shower and get ready for tonight.

I'm loving having life back on the board. This is great. I made it to my parent's house. We're watching White Christmas. I love this movie.

Christmas Eve has come and gone and so has my company.  Cleaned up after the crowd left and now I am getting everything ready for Christmas dinner.  Only 8 of us - works for me!  I have a turkey breast in the oven and the house smells devine!  Ham is all set to go in when the turkey comes out.  Dinner should be ready around 2 ish so if any one is hungry come on over!

Merry Christmas Ladies!

We got home from church around 12:30 last night. That 11:00 service is just too long. It ran an hour and 15 minutes. The kids were determined to get up at 5:00. With 4 hours of sleep at that point, it didn't happen. They got up around 6:20. We went to my parent's house then. We had lots of presents and breakfast. Home to put it all up and I had a nap. We'll go back to my parents tonight for supper. Tomorrow I am going to have a huge cleaning marathon. Can't say that the kids are thrilled about that.

Morning Ladies -

So how was everyone's Christmas?  Hard to get up this morning.  So glad I don't have to go into work today.  Going to start pack up "Christmas" today.  I won't put it all away but I will start.  Keeping the tree up a while longer but it will come down before New Yea's.  Mostly because I want to get all the holiday stuff put away and the house cleaned up before heading back to work on January 2nd.  It's a bit sad because I REALLY like the way my decorations looked this year.  House looked so pretty.

Any one else all "fooded" out?  I almost feel sick today because I ate so much yesterday.  I didn't do too badly on Christmas Eve but yesterday I had a ham/turkey dinner with all the fixings for 8 of us around 2 ish and then John and I went over to one of my cousins where another side of the family was and ate another good size meal around 6 ish.  It was all good but my stomach does not feel so great this morning.  Anyone have any Alka Seltzer???
