Q&E Babble
Fri, 12-21-2012 - 7:34am

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Tracy - if you have the post already copied and you lose it, click in the comment box and hit the Ctrl and V at the same time.  It's a short cut paste feature.  Practice in word.  You'll come to LOVE it and use nothing else!  Then you won't have to keep going back and hoping its there!

Susan, I bet you're excited! Where are you guys going?

Mel, I can't wait to hear the results tomorrow!

Shelly, I'm glad P is going to the doctor.

Tracy, we had those winds too. The guys came last week to put in the new window and it didn't fit. It's been cold and I can feel a breeze when Istand in front of the window. Not helping our gas bill.

Sandy, my mom's dh is doing fine. He is out of the hospital. He stayed about a week. Just somehing he will have to live with, I guess.

Gaye, glad your dd is doing great!

Was super busy yesterday. Had to deliver payroll and run errands. Kelsie ran a temperature all weekend. Monday she felt fine and then yesterday she didn't. Took he to the doctor thinking maybe strep but no. The doctor just took a guess and said flu. Gave her antibiotics for a sinus infection. She had no school Mon. & Tues anyway so no missed school. She's feeling lots better.

Ray is going to Vegas next week. Conferences......I'm jealous. Hope he has good weather.

We're going to a bar!  lol  Friends of our bought a bar about 3 hours away in IN.  Another guy we graduated with plays in a band and they booked them for Friday night.  There is a group of people from my hometown going over to listen to them play.  We took Friday off of work and will have all day to make our way over there.  Our hotel has an indoor pool and we booked a room with a jacuzzi tub.  Should be a nice relaxing time.  My mom is picking the girls up from the sitter and MIL is puppy sitting Chubbs.  I can't believe its been 10 years already!  As the saying goes...time flies....

  • Think I can get through a rainy, chilly day without one of the three pugs leaving me a "deposit" on the floor?   Yes, I still have Roo Ben.  I read the weekly status report, and his potential adopter hasn't adopted any dog yet, so he may still be under consideration by her.  He is doing better about going potty outside.  He is falling into the routine here.  Of course, I get up and let him out whenever he whines, and today it was about 2 AM and 6:40 AM.  Good thing I'm retired and my sleep schedule is flexible.  I fed all the animals, and we went back to bed until about 8.

Sandy - I most certainly will remember to pack those!  The best part is that its from Friday to Saturday so we'll still have most of the weekend to waste!

Hello ladies!

I worked at 6:45am this morning, didnt have time to come on the computer this morning... I turned it in, and then DH jumped on as soon as he got home from work... so tomorrow morning, working at the crack of dawn again, Im not going to turn the computer on, Ha that will teach him LOL. omg I am sooo cranky lately!

didnt sleep very well last night... got woken up at 1:30am and 3am by the bloody dog puking... then I kept checking my clock to make sure I didnt oversleep..... hope I can sleep better tonight! doubt it though.

One of my co-workers fell on the ice, so she couldnt come in... so I gained an extra 1.5 hours, which is what Im losing tomorrow... so it all evens out!

Im a little bit excited about the ultrasound tomorrow.... but more scare actually.... Im sure I will feel better afterwards!! what the heck?? Im typing away and the font randomly changes?

Gaye- glad your DD is doing well!!

Missy- Ugh hope you get the right windows soon! and I hope DH has nice weather in las vegas!

Susan- woohoo on the weekend getaway!!!

Evening ladies!!

Somebody needs to remind me to check the boards everyday...I forget or get busy for like 2 days then when I remember its at a time where I know I won't have time to read and catch up and post(Like now, corn flake chicken, noodles, and a veggie going for dinner)

Anyways Mel good luck at your ultrasound tomorrow!! They are so cool!

A lot going on here, EMFP stuff almost done, the ACS lady told us we probably wouldn't get sponsorship for Germany. Working out with David and he is going to try to try out for the WMD unit in NM and drop a Warrant Officer packet, plus we have to fill out a form for compassionate reassignment if Evey DOESN'T get sponsorship in Germany....Had my physical yesterday. PT and hopefully OT for Evey tomorrow, she has become SUPER sensitive...like I fussed at her for locking us out the house 2 weeks ago(she unlocked the door when we told her too) and everytime I touch that door she apologizes for locking us out..STILL....

Her school made me mad, I took her to school without tights on, she was wearing a skirt but refused to wear the tights, its cold out(like 28 degrees) so I fgured they wouldn't go out no big deal. The teachers chastised me for it, and her shoes(she was wearing ballet flats, they have a thinner bottom and she doesn't turn her legs in as much wearing them)Anyways they said they have recess everyday, ummmm she goes 3 days a week, so 30 minutes for recess, 30 minutes for snack, and 30 minutes of singing and playing in the morning doesn't leave much time for *gasp* learning...whatever...$195 a month for baby sitters, but I get my best cleaning done, and Garrett gets some mommy time so I suppose its worth it...

Anyways just wanted to let y'all ladies know I haven't forgotten about you!!!

Gus ~ The boys school rule is 40* and above and they go outside.

P went to the doctor today, got 3 more RXs and is going to have an endoscopy done. He is scared and nervous. I am worried to death over it. He looks so bad!!!

I have an appointment tomorrow at 10 with the "specialist" to look at my head and have the cyst cut out. I don't know of they will do it tomorrow or not. Then come home and do the mountain of laundry I have piled in my room. Friday I have to take P for some bloodwork. And the boys are off of school. Maybe I can get them to clean their room and I can run the sweeper and dust in there. I need to do that in my room too. Maybe we can get it all done on Saturday.  I need to go through the boys closets as well, They have way more clothing then I do.

So our handiman was here today and put down the flooring in the hallway and then I went and bought some tile for the bathroom and he will come back tomorrow and take the commode up and put the new tile down.

So, one of the cats (he used to be mine and moved out and in with mom and dad) Sam, went missing on Sunday, he went out and was gone all day and all night. Monday afternoon, I saw him laying across the road on the bank looking at me. I put my gum boots on and trudged through the ditch and started up the bank and he took off running. He went to my house and went under the porch. He stayed under there until yesterday evening and he came out and was on my porch looking for the food bowl, he was limping soooo bad, favoring his back right leg.  I picked him up and carried him up to mom  and dad's - and that in itself is saying something - he doesn't cuddle or get on laps or anything like that.  He didn't fight me or anything. So, mom called the vet this morning and got him an appointment to 2:15 today and took him over. We were afraid that something was broken. Luickily the vet said it wasn't broken, he must have just gotten into a fight and was hurt! Whewwwww

Wow look at all the chatter going on here tonight!

Welcome back Guss we have missed you.  Now we just need to find out where Daisy is hiding!

Shelly glad to hear P is getting everything checked out.  Three weeks is way too long to still be tossing his cookies.  Oh and the poor kitty.

Mel just one more day to go!  What time is your appointment?
