Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Cara that lobster/crab mac & cheese would have been my choice for dinner too!  Ummm!  Could you tell what kind of cheese they used?  Oh and the pineapple soaked in vodka - oh yeah!

Shelly wow on the weight drop.  Good for you.  As far as the therapist goes I would be in their face asking for their help.  I don't think I would leave until I got it!

Sounds like an AWESOME celebration dinner Cara!!!

Mel ~ Glad you had a yummy dinner out with the in-laws.

Tracy ~ Better wear some sun screen next time!!!!\

Gus ~ How was your day date with David?

We are on the 7th floor, and I would use the stairs, but they are locked on most floors, so I would be stuck!! LOL

P would NEVER work out with me!!! He gets his exercise by being outside working, at least that's his thoughts on it LOL

Waylon saw a therapist when we were up here, inpatient last. Plus he sees the school counselor once a week. I have askedher to talkabout medicine time. . . . but so far nothing has helped.

Big news gals!!!!!!!  I got on the scales here this morning, I am down 2.5 pounds!!!!! So excited!!!!!

No plans for here today, just more sitting, it is very frusterating, not knowing what is going on, or how to fix it!

Sandy - we went to the Capital Grille downtown. We had been there for an alumni reception before a concert at Benaroya Hall (symphony hall is across the street) a couple years back, but never been there just to eat. I guess there are others in various cities. Old-school high end steak house, with a huge wine list.  I had a ceasar salad and swordfish, and we shared a side of lobster and crab mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was DIVINE.  Erick had a porcini crusted Delmonico with a reduced balsamic glaze.  And the bread basket was awesome - couple of really good seeded chewy rolls, a giant piece of cracker bread that was kind of on the sweet side, a pumpernickle and onion bread.  My swordfish was good, but I could have eaten the (shared) side of the mac and cheese and the bread and died happy.... Glad I got 45 minute on the bike in yesterday, but I don't even know how to log what we ate. I probably ate the whole days calories in dinner alone, without the cocktail or wine! It was a great time. Oh, and the cocktail was a house specialty - they soak fresh pinapple in Stoli for a week, then shake and strain it. Called a Pineapple Dolly. YUM. And our server was FANTASTIC. I asked about onions in a dish on the menu, and then she proceded to really go out of her way to make sure nothing I ate came with even a chive garnish. She was awesome, and knew that menu inside and out. A good server makes all the difference when you are spending big money on a meal like that - a mediocre server might have left us feeling like we overpaid, and while we tipped her very well, it was money well spent!

We ended up picking up a pizza from a local chain place. There are a few locations, but they are all here. It's the best pizza ever. So guess what, no calorie goal met for me. This is the time of year I struggle with. Case in point, yesterday's softball game. We had to leave the house at 11:00 AM to get DD there for warm-ups. The game ended at 4:15. 45 minute drive home, after the team talk. So I got home around 5:20. 6.5 hours invested in one scrimmage. I'm going to try very hard to get my exercise on today, but it's grocery and house cleaning day. Time is always hard for me. Which leaves 4:50 tomorrow morning.

I did remember time change. But the clock in my bedroom is an iHome charger thing. And I had my phone in there. They both said 7:20 when I woke up. What I didn't know was whether that was the new time or not. iPhones usually change time on their own, same as the computer. But I wasn't sure if the iHome would too, but I assumed it did. I had to wait until I got on up to see if that was the new time or if I had to change it myself. It had changed.

I can't imagine that hospital in Pitt doesn't have a therapist on staff. I think we talked about that before. They seem to have everything anyone could need. Is that where W met with one, Shelly? I would never give up on that option. I bet those Pitt ones, the ones working in a children's hospital, are great at what they do.

On that note, I bet they have an exercise room somewhere in there too. The Jillian Michaels DVD requires hand weights. I'd recommend trying some out to see what weight is comfortable for you, Shelly.

The ball game yesterday was nice. I loved being out there. DD played well too. This moring I woke up to a sunburned face. I hadn't even considered that. And it's supposed to be even nicer today, 67 for the high. I need to find something to grill for supper.

Good Morning ladies!

Yep I made sure I changed the clocks before going to bed last night!

The in laws had afternoon plans yesterday, so we ended up meeting them in town at a restaurant for dinner, instead of going to their place.... so dinner was very yummy!

so tired this morning, glad Im off tomorrow!

Shelly- Hope they figure out what is wrong with Waylon!

Morning Ladies

So Tracy did you cook or get take out last night?

Shelly hope they find out what is going on with Waylon so you can both get back home.  You mentioned you tried a therapist for him.  When was that?  Do they offer the service at Pitt?  Might be a good time for him to talk it out with someone again.  As far as eating that cookie goes it's ok.  Just get in some extra walking today.  I don't know what floor you might be on but if there are stairs I would try to use them.  You get lots of exercise using stairs.

Guss how was your date day?

Cara where did you go for the celebration dinner?

Hope everyone remembered to turn their clocks ahead one hour!

Forgot to mention I hope they find out what's wrong with Waylon. I cannot imagine how frustrating that is, no answers.
