Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Good Morning ladies!

Didnt end up going back to bed for a nap... had coffee and watched netflix instead lol. went to the in laws around 3pm... the snow/rain started in the middle of the night.... was freezing rain when I took snoopy out this morning.... now the weather network is saying 25-35 cms of snow( almost a foot!) for today.

I guess I drank too much last night, and got up 3 times to pee, instead of my usual 2 times grrrrrrr. so will be napping today, because I slept like crap!

Im not sure whats happening with DHs work when the baby is here, Im hoping he looks for a day job when Im on maternity leave, and Im really hoping I can get my drivers licence before then too....

Tracy- glad you had fun at the softball thing! Boo on waiting for the girl who fell asleep!

Shelly, I love those shows. Jeff and I salivate over the $300,000 campers. They look awesome. I'd love to retire and tour the continent in one of those.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take a boat too.

Quiet weekend around here. I was busy all day yesterday. DD's softball thing was great. They sent the girls into the locker room and the parents into the main portion of the field house. They had a black drape covering the door so you couldn't see in. They had the lights off, strobes going, and music thumping. Parents got pom-poms and noisemakers. There were balloons all over and all the girls' names were on the wall written in those funky colored duct tapes. One girl, one of the girls that had attended one pre-tryout practice and made the team anyway because she is a great athelete, was 45 minutes late so we waited for her. Nice. The mom said the girl fell asleep and then took her time in the shower. And the mom was okay with this. Should go well with her. We parents were not happy. They should have started without her.

The girls got introduced and were all in matching shirts, with all their names on the back. We saw an inspirational sports video then all the coaches talked. For a long time. Then all the seniors spoke. All 7 of them. This was also a potluck supper. By this time it was 8:45. It has started at 6:45. We ate and left. My DD was very happy though so that was good.

The worst part of the night was getting the uniform list. She is required to purchase $285 worth of uniform pieces. That's not the actual uniform either. That's provided by the school. She'll have three sets: maroon, white, and black. I have to buy her a t-shirt in 3 colors, practice pants, practice shorts, a hoodie, a nylon V-neck pullover with her name on it, 4 pairs of socks, 2 belts, long sleeved t-shirts, Under Armour cold gear in white and black, Under Armor heat gear in white and black, a warm-up jacket, in 2 different colors, with her name on it. And the list goes on. They are required to look alike travelling to games. I take donations :-)

I am getting ready to go help my friend paint her nasty house.

Renee, I love a long recap.   Thanks.   Sounds like all your girls are doing well.   I bet Casey listens to you on the taxes next year.

Mel, yeah, I hope you get more than $4 back.   That's pitiful.   Go take that nap.   Once the twins are here your napping days are over.   Is DH going to keep working third shift once they are here?   If so, not having anyone to share those sleepless nights with will be hard.  Especially when you have to get up for work the next morning.

I have been to DS's game, got his baseball number, my dad took RA to softball practice, and I have been to the grocery store.   Getting ready to go to Krogers for the stuff Wal Mart didn't have, pick up RA, come home for lunch and head to the baby shower.

Wow Shelly that is a long time to be sick.. Casey and her bf had it for a few days, Maggie got a touch of it then Molly and Kynsie got it..  I spray lysol EVERYWHERE all the time ! I don't want to get sick.

I hope P is on the mend and his boss finds a job for him.

Happy for RA !  When you get your schedule figured out we need to plan our Q&E trip !!

Sandy enjoy your dinner with the in-laws. Hows your Dad doing?  Any #'s for today ????

Maggie got her income tax back and paid John for the truck- She has drove to work this week and she is doing really good. She has to blow in this thing to make the truck start and it goes off once or twice on the way and she has 5 minutes to blow in it- she just does it as she is driving - and when she shuts the truck off you have to wait one minute to make sure it doesn't ask for a retest.  ( So you are not drinking along the way).  We are so proud of her! In one year she has done a complete turn around with her life. She has an awesome man in her life that cares about her and Amyah. A aprtment with alot of really nice things in it. A good paying job and a waitress side job that she gets good tips at =). She told all her customers about her truck last Sunday and brought home $100 in tips! Not bad for 6 hrs. She is paying off old debt created with her horrible X. And she got her licence back after three years =).

Molly got her income tax back and she is taking John and I out to dinner today for helping with her kids =)..

Caseys bf thought she would get more money back for her income tax if she took them somewhere and got them done (after I did them on 4 different sites from home) . So she waited and had an appointment at H & R.  The lady said wow your information is already in here- (yeah My Mom did it). And said she would get the same amount back that I said and wanted to charge her $288.  She said ummm no.  And brought them to me and I filed them yesterday.

Well I want to get moving - Molly and I are going to the meat store and you have to get there early on Saturday!

Enjoy your day =)

That is a horribly long time to be sick. My co-worker finally got better. He came back Thursday a new man. I would be bitter too if I was replaced, but I also get that they have jobs that need to get done so someone has to do it. They'll find him something the day he gets back, won't they? And I'm assuming there is paid sick leave for him too.

Sandy, more snow? Yuck. It's just cold here today. Too cold.

Off to get ready for basketball and get DD up for softball.

Oh my goodness Shelly that is a long time to be feeling that sick.  I can see how he lost 15 pounds poor guy.  Hope everyone in your household gets to feeling better SOON!

Well we got more snow last night and it is still snowing but it is on the light side.  It pretty much just covered up all the old dirty stuff and it sticking to the trees.  I need to get to the grocery store.  I also need to stop by and visit with my Dad for a bit and I have an eyebrow appointment later this afternoon.  I think we are taking the in-laws out for a light dinner tonight.

Tracy ~ Yes, P is still sick, it's been 2 1/2 weeks.  He has worked 2 days since January 28th. He came home on Thursday the 31st and tested positive for the flu when I took him to the clinic. He hasn't been able to hold anything down and has lost about 15 pounds. I had him back at the clinic on Tuesday the 4th and he got 2 bags of IV fluids and a prescription for Phenegren, it did no good. He would take it and still throw up.

On Saturday the 9th, Jeffrey got sick and threw up all night and a couple times the next morning.  Waylon came home from school on Tuesday the 12th and threw up a couple times.  P worked on Monday and then stayed home (his rental) on Tuesday and Wednesday, he came home late Tuesday evening and I took him back to clinic on Thursday (yes we spent Valentines day in the doctors office LOL)  the doctor gave him some Zofran (like Mel was talking about) I went to Wal-Mart and picked up his prescriptions and some popcicles.  Came home and I got sick. I had it coming out both ends from about 4:30 - 2:30 Friday morning.  I took a Zofran - just disolves on your tounge, and it knocked me out and no more throwing up. It's been crazy!!!

P's  supervisor replaced him at work and he is crabby over that. He is union so technically, they can't fire him for being sick.  We were laying in bed yesterday evening, andhe said feel this knot in my stomach. I am thinking that it is a hernia from throwing up for 2 1/2 weeks now.  So now we need to have it looked at and have it repaired if necessary.

My head, it's a cyst and the doctor is making a refferal to another doctor to have it cut out.  Nothing major!

Nothing else has been going on around here, just sickness and more sickness!!!
