Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

pretty proud of Natalie this year.  Perfect attendance and straight A's.  We'll keep working on Brooklyn. :)  We were in the "possible severe" area today and didn't get a drop of rain.  DH got the yard mowed and the wind is blowing the cooler weather.  A/C off and windows open! :)

Well hello Miss Sandy! Glad they finally let you in the party! I second Susan's HUGS!!!

Tracy I kind of agree with your daughter, I think not wearing socks would be gross, I wouldn't pay a lot for a pair of shoes and then make them all stinky and gross by not wearing socks...yucky. LOL

And there will be no happy reunion Friday. My husband has managed to mainly make me incredibly angry for the past 6 week. He whined about how he wanted to do this Dave Ramsay Budget thing so we decided to try it, okay I mean I did, he gets paid per diem so he puts everything on the credit card and we pay it off when he gets the money. Fine except he eats out almost everyday, goes out with his friends, hangs out with his family(because the school is in the area we are from) harped to me on how we didn't have money for me to go out there(we do he just doesn't want to spend it so of course we can't) and then told his family when they were mad they didn't get to see me and the kids that I didn't want to fly with two kids alone(partially true). So yeah he is currently out having drinks with his class, basically drunk, while I am here with a kid running a fever who needs to go to the hospital tomorrow and have her infection surgically drained...not his fault, but then again not my fault I am jealous/pissed he gets to live like a bachelor while I get stuck holding the bag so to speak.

Anywho so yeah I will be up bright and early tomorrow to take Evey to the hospital, and hopefully it won't be an all day affair. Should be loads of fun.

On the plus side dad is watching Garrett so at least I don't have to worry about that. His lip looks better so yay for improvement.

Okay, well, that doesn't really match up with my vision of a "we haven't seen each other for 6-weeks" reunion.   It does sound like you are stressed out.   And with good reason to be a little pissed.   And more jealous.   Not that I am thinking that is wrong.   I think you nailed it.   Who wouldn't prefer the set-up he has to the one you have right now?   Men seem to have the ability to walk away from the kids and just know they will be fine.   I don't think we are wired to do the same.   I think about it, and think I'd like having no responsibility for a long period of time.   But by day #2 I am missing the kids like crazy.   Hopefully you have a credit card linked to a good rewards program and when you pay off his expenses with his per diem you can get something nice or do something fun.

That's how Jeff and I have the free plane tickets to Key West (which is in 32 days, just adding in here).   And yes, I will have a ball, and miss the kids terribly.   We use our American Express Delta cards for travel.   Frequent flyer miles, plus charging things and paying them off adds up the miles.  I also have a Disney Visa that I charged our Disney trip to last year.   Paid it off with tax refund and then had a nice gift card to use in the Parks with the rebate thing on the card.

Okay, I am sure rambling there.   I had no intention of talking about credit cards when I sat down here.

Guss, I will be happy for you to get the staph stuff behind you.   Does the doctor have any recommendations as to where it may be coming from?   I'd for sure mention it to the school at the end of the year.

I signed DD up for Chinese enrichment camp yesterday.   It's a 2-week thing through the schools.   She really wanted to go.   She said she didn't care if any of her friends went, she was going.   She adores her Chinese class.   There is a program, through the Chinese government, where they will sponsor school groups to come over and tour the country.   She qualifies to go next summer as she will be in the age group they take, and will have 3 years of Chinese on her resume.   Supposedly we just have to pay the plane ticket.   Which is staggering, but still.   Three weeks in China as a guest of the government?   They put the kids up in dorms, paying for their food and all touring.  Cincinnati to Bejing is about $2,500.   I'd take on a second job to make that happen for her.   Her teacher is going.   I have talked to her about it.   She said it's a wonderful trip, she has been.   She has a son in DD's program that would go too, so she doesn't really like him but that would be someone she knows.   Anyway, I've had that on my mind lately as it's now about a year off and she's doing their enrichment program this summer.

Second to last day of school here.    DS has end of year picnic.   I can't imagine what else they are doing.   He brought home a ton of stuff yesterday, saying they had to completely clean out their desks.   The room is packed up.   What else is there for them to do?

Do I count Tracy????  I'm here! -Cool

Tracy I would do everthing I could to come up with the money for that plane ticket.  Have a bake sale, car wash, tag sale, lemonaide stand!  Put a jar on the counter of the concession stand for people to drop their change in. Oh wait here is a novel idea, how about her Dad chipping in some cash for her - ok - ok - ok - you can stop laughing and go change your wet pants now.

Last night the girls were getting ready to brush their teeth and Natalie says "there's no water".  Huh?  Sure, enough.  We lost water pressure.  We called the plumber on call at work and talked through some stuff.  DH was able to take his compressor and up the water pressure for the sink to work...for about 5 minutes.  Then we lost all pressure and can't get any water out of the spigots.  Could be a range of things from a somewhat cheap pressure switch to a not-so-cheap well pump.  I hope we can talk one of the guys from work into coming over tonight or tomorrow to fix it.

I had about 9 gallons of water in the basement that I've been "saving" as a just-in-case thing.  Good thing we had them.  At least DH and I could wash our face and hair this morning.  We had plenty of bottled water to brush our teeth.

At work today we have an annual carpet cleaning.  After lunch we move EVERYTHING off the carpets and then they come to clean about 3pm.  I will get to leave early. :)  DH is going to mow his mom and aunts house and then shower at his mom's when he's done.  I'll head into my mom's this evening and shower there and visit.

Got to sleep with the windows open last night.  I actually closed them part way through the night because it got a little chilly.  I love sleeping with my windows open!

Susan, WTG Natalie on her grades and attendance! Not so great on the no water pressure. Hope it's a quick fix! I just opened our windows this morning. Supposed to be 71 today and 47 tonight. Unheard of for Memorial Day weekend around here.

Tracy, what a great opportunity for RA. I don't know where you would find the time for a second job but we know you would figure it out. Too bad her dad can't step up to the plate and support her for once.

We are officially on summer break! Hasn't hit any of us yet. My mom will be here on June 5th! Counting down the days!

It's chilly here too, Missy.   This has been a crazy cold spring.   I'm beyond ready for the heat of summer.  30 days until we leave for Key West.   Not that I have a countdown app on my phone or anything.

Yesterday was every bit the nightmare I knew it would be.   It sucked.   My feet are creaming this morning.   That flat, hard, concrete is murder to stand on for 7 hours.   Only 10 more hours of it to go.  It's just a long, long boring day that makes my feet hurt.

Susan, I hope you got your water fixed.   That would be frustrating.   But it has to be a good time to work for a plumbing place.

Yes, the ex said he'd help out on the trip to China if that actually really does become a reality.   My parents will help too.   Maybe his parents?  I don't think it could hurt to ask.   In reality before I would take a second job I would hammer down on overtime and grab up every scrap I could get.   It's out there.   But I never have time, the kids are always too busy.   I'd just have to farm them out and work.   I'd do it too.

Well, off to work again.

Morning Tracy -

It is freezing cold here too.  Also cloudy and more rain is on the way.  What a yucky start to the long weekend.

Hope your boring long day goes by quickly for you Tracy and be sure to get a foot massage.

Susan I hope you get your water situation fixed.
