Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

ME!!!!

Been up since 5:00 am.  But better than yesterday when I woke up at 2:30 am.... I kind of felt like Renee... my hubby had to be to work at 4:00 am so he had to leave at 3:00 am... of course, I wake up when the alarm went off and then I could not go back to sleep from thinking about everything I had to do at work.  If I hadn't had to pick up Amber at 6:30, I would have just gone on in to work!

I didn't sleep good last night either... well, I did sleep good once I got to sleep... had restless legs and it was driving me crazy!

Well, I've got TONS of work to do... so I better get at it while my brain is good... it just gets worse and worse as the day goes on.. lol.

I forgot to mention that Ashleigh fell yesterday at work. Someone had cords across the floor and she tripped. She said she got up fast (as we all do) and didn't realize she hurt her arm until an hour or so later and said it kept getting worse and worse. I told her she needed to get an x-ray but she has no health insurance so she didn't want to have a big bill to pay. This girl never cries and she called me yesterday twice crying. She did not go back in to work after her 3 hour break and when I got home I iced it and gave her motrin and tylenol (I had it in my purse) and by last night she said it was feeling better... I hope it still feels better this morning. Her boss did call her twice to make sure she was okay... she never misses work and I am sure they were hoping she hadn't hurt herself so bad she'd have a worker's compensation issue... lol.

Mel - did you get your phone call?

Sandy - I hope your dad had a good night at home last night.

Daisy - I hope Ashleigh's arm is feeling better today.

Tracy - I am going to stop today and get a workout DVD.  I need something so I can mix up my workout.  Walking and running on the treadmill will get old I'm sure.  Any recommendations from anyone is appreciated.  I already know I'm in trouble today.  We're getting subs from the Submarine House (YUMMY!) for lunch because the guys have a lunch seminar.  I don't have the seminar, but I'm being provided lunch too.  I tried to look up a Submarine House sub and only 2 were listed.  *sigh*  It will be a good day to start that new DVD!  lol

I hope you ladies all have a good day.

Sounds like she does have a Workman's Comp claim, Daisy.   She shouldn't let insurance stop her from getting treatment if she is hurt.   It's on them to pay it.

I have started and stopped writing this a ton.   I forgot all I wanted to say.   That's why I like to write in the morning without distractors.

But I was not able to post this morning after I answered the QOTD.   I kept getting that screen telling me what newsletters I can sign up for.

Well I wanted to tell Daisy about the Worker's Comp claim earlier but it wouldn't let me respond.  Now I can - so Daisy tell her to put in a claim.  She got hurt at work.  She needs to have that looked at.

It was taking me to posts from 2003 a second ago.   I just shake my head.   It's been 3 months, right?

Daisy - I would definately put in a claim.  What if in a few months she picks up one of the kids and damages it further??  Then it's out of her own pocket.  Maybe its only an x-ray, but what if there's a tear?  Better safe than sorry.  Of course no company ever wants a claim, but its there to support the worker's.  One of those benefits you hope to never use, but its nice when you need to.  Sorry...got a little long winded there.  What I wanted to say was put in a claim!  :)  lol

Daisy, sounds like these ladies know what they are talking about. So, tell Amber to have it checked out. How is she feeling today? Just wanted to add.....I ahte those sleepless, restless nights. So exhausting. Hope you can sleep better tonight.

Sandy, how is your dad? Did he get out of the hospital?

Mel, you are doing great with your weight loss!

Susan, sounds like you are doing great too!

I went walking with my neighbor at the mall yesterday. We walked 9300 steps. I am feeling it today. I'm so out of shape and need to get back into it but am having a hard time with the motivation. Maybe the 70's I see in the forecast later in the week will get me out there.
