Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Tracy ~ We have a decent camper. . . . P wants a boat. A BIG boat LOL like this or bigger:

Tracy ~ That is a lot of gear for your girl, but she, and her potential college scholorship, are worth it!!

Sandy ~ Are you seeing sunshine amid all of your snow?

Mel ~ Hope you start feeling better soon!

Renee ~ What great updates on your girls, you and John should be proud!!!!!

Gaye ~ How is your daughter doing, I'm sorry I can't remember which one had the back surgery. And the Grandkids?  How is Roo Ben doing with you all? any potential adopters for him?

Had a nice day out with mom, dad and the boys. P was really wanting to go, just not feeling up to it.  I feel for him, but man can he be crabby LOL Of course are 3 weeks I would be crabby too!!! LOL

Have to get up early in the morning and take Waylon for some repeat lab work. Uggggggggg So up at 5:45 and to the hospital to have his blood drawn before 7:00 and then back to school before 8:00. He can't take his Prograf (anti-rejection medicine) until after his blood is drawn so they can get a level on it. It was low last week, like 5.2, and they like it up in the 8 range. . . . . I will stop and feed them some breakfast incase we don't make it back to school in time. Then tomorrow is up in the air. P needs to go sign up on unemployment, but we don't know if the offices are open tomorrow due to Presidents day or not. The boys have school tomorrow, but have Friday off for it. I don't know I think it's crazy LOL

Well, I am tired, gonna watch some Storage Wars and then head to bed!

Morning Ladies -

Shelly Friday is Washington's Birthday so I don't think it is so strange to have Friday off this week instead of today which is President's day.

Renee that sure is a nasty way to start a Monday. UGH!

It is windy and cold today.  Wind chills making the temps into the singel digits - brrrrrrrr!

DId someone say ready for spring?   Count me in.   I am sick to death of being cold.  I swear I have the worst HVAC luck of anyone I know.   My furnace went out AGAIN yesterday.   It always, always, goes out on a Sunday.   Recall it was "fixed" in November.   And last year and the year before that.   Jeff thinks it's the ignitor this time.   Getting new windows has helped my house tremendously.   It was 30° here yesterday.   My house held at 66° until the sun went down.   Yeserday I called the HVAC guy I use.   I told him we could survive until today.   He said fine, but he could get us in between 8:00 and 10:00 last night.   I said sure.   I am off today.  He said it would be closer to 8:30.   Great.

At 10:00 I called to see what happened to him.  No answer.   I bundled us up with our electric blankets and fleece blankets and I actually got hot during the night.   I called the guy this morning and he said he wrote down the morning appointment and forget to change it when I said I was okay with a late night one.   He forgot me.  It's 55° in here this morning.   Yikes!!   So I am now waitng for him.   Again.  He apologized and said he'd "make it right" with me this morning.  I hope that means a super rate.

As for DD's softball gear, this is all clothes she has to order.   They want to be dressed alike at all times.   So her bag will still have her catcher gear, gloves, bats, etc.   She won't have too much in the way of extra clothes each day.

Shelly, so P is still sick??   Wow.   Does he not get paid sick leave?   How long is he anticipating being off work?

We have DD's photo session today for her Young Achievers thing.   I get to test my hair and makeup skills.   I hope I do okay.

Ugh that really sucks about your furnace Tracy!!  Hope it gets fixed today! and I forgot to say Yikes on the clothing costs!

We keep our heat( we have electric baseboard heaters in every room, which costs a fortune to run) at a minimum. I usually wear flannel pjs, with a long sleeve AND a short sleeve shirt, and bed socks... and Im comfortable..... but now that Im pregnant thats too many layers!( was so hot last night, I slept with no pants on) lol. so being pregnant in the winter has its advantages! you watch, I will be whining this summer how hot I am LOL.

Not only did the guy no-call, no-show me last night, he is an hour and a half late now.   I am furious.   I want to get on with my day, but I'm trapped just waiting here.   We would have done something fun last night but there I was, waiting for the HVAC guy.

Ugh Tracy, I'd be so mad! Any word yet?

Shelly, that's a long time for someone to be sick. Maybe he needs to have that lump checked out. Does he know it's a hernia for sure?

Tracy - YUCK on the waiting.  I'd be ticked too.  I hope it does get fixed today.

Shelly - I would have P go in and get looked at.  If it's something more serious, he's wasting valuable time!  I know its hard to get guys to the doctor though.

Sandy - are you a dog whisperer too?  Chubbs popped in his cage Friday during work and then again last night.  He just started this crap this past week.  He's never done this before and nothings changed.  I don't get it.

Nothing exciting here.  Didn't lose any additional weight this week.  I stayed the same, which is better than gaining.  I even did my DVD AND ran 1.5 miles.  BLAH.

I hope all is okay with Daisy and her basement.
