Q&E Babble
Fri, 12-21-2012 - 7:34am

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Whoo-Hooo it's ultrasound day for Mel.   What time is it?   I can't wait.

Susan, your anniversary plans sound perfect.   You are going to have a great time.   Tingly lips and all.   Speaking of that, how was the chicken?

Shelly, I am very glad P is getting checked out.   When  is his endoscopy?   Today?   I hope your head cyst appointment goes smoothly.   And no fun on the cat.   Poor thing.   Glad you all got him checked out.   What's up at school that's making your boys not want to go?

Missy, I too am very jealous of the Vegas trip.   Where is he staying?   I haven't been since 2011.   After we went every year for 6 years, one year going twice, I am dying to get back there.   Glad your DD is feeling better.

Guss, I need a military translator for most of your post.  So, is it looking like none of you all are headed for Germany?   What's the Warrant thing with David?   What's the unit he's wanting to join?   Sorry, I am not military initials savvy.

On the preschool thing, yeah, I'd probably be thinking they were insensitive to my DD's sensory needs.   I bet they just aren't thinking about that.   Hopefully they'll get it figured out.   As the kids get older the preschool curriculum gets more structured.   I think at age 3 it was more about teaching the kids how to socialize and how to go to school- get them used to doing things in a routine, with other kids.   At least that's what I got from my kids's 3-year old program.   It was very similiar to what you described.   By their 4-year old year there was more academics.

My beach trip, you ask, Sandy?   We are leaving Friday, March 30th.   My mom and I both used one of our Personal Days on that day so we are leaving early that morning.   It's a 14 hour from from here to Ft. Myers.   We're going to stop in Valdosta, GA the first night.    THat's a 9 hour drive from here.   Then we'll only have a 5-hour drive on that Saturday, arrival day.   We'll stay a full week then have a grueling trip home on that next Saturday.   We'll be there Easter Sunday.   That will be weird.

Morning Ladies -

How is everyone this fine Thursday morning?

It is freezing cold here.  The wind is still blustery. Calling for more snow on Saturday. Guess our Groundhog was right.  Six more weeks of winter.  UGH!!!

Woooo Hoooo it's ultra sound day for Mel!!! Can not wait to hear about it!!!!!!!!!!

Tracy ~ So jealous on the beach trip! :/  I'm hoping to get a trip in somewhere this summer. Jeffrey keeps seeing those commercials for Atlantis and said that's where I want to go. So P said look it up and see how much it is.  So, i went to the website and "planned" us a vacation to the Bahammas to Atlantis LOL  I love doing that!!!  I got 7 nights and 8 days all inclusive, with a day of playing with the dolphins, and a day of playing in stingrays and other animals.  Flight and a limo to and from (hahaha I figure it's my fantasy and I want to ride in a limo LOL)  But it was less then $6,000. Which is a lot of money, but that is also a very long beach stay!!

It is cold and windy here this morning. There were a few snowflakes floating around out side when I went out to look for the bus. YUCK. Supposed to be in the 40's and less windy today then yesterday so it won't feel as cold as it did yesterday. And it was COLD yesterday!!

I woke up with a head ache, need to take something for it and start my day. Laundry to put in and get ready for the doctor.

Have a great Thursday!!!!

Susan, you guys will have so much fun!!

Tracy, your vacation sounds warm and relaxing except the drive.

Shelly, hope all the drs appointments turn out well.

Mel, can NOT wait to hear all about your appoinment today!

Guss, that is insane that they go outside in that cold weather. I don't understand the military language either. Can't tell if David is still going to Germany wihout you guys or is he looking to move to New Mexico?

Ray is staying at Planet Hollywood. I have never been to Vegas.

Tracy and Missy- We are still screening to see if we can go. If me and the kids can't they can still send David, however there is a form he can fill out for compassionate reassignment. He wants to try out for the weapons of Mass destruction unit in NM so we will see. And the Warrant Officer packet he is going to fill out is for being a helicopter pilot...

Good luck today Mel!

Its a snow day:-) I loveeeee snow! Well until it starts getting in my way...

Baby B looks really confused by the snow LOL. So yeah guess I am going to go wake up Pickle so she can see it...she will be excited.

Thanks for clearing all that up Guss.  I'm with Tracy on not knowing all the military stuff.  So - perhaps Germany but more likely NM.  Ok.

Tracy 14 hours will be a long haul home.  But you'll figure out a way to get through it I am sure.  It's good you are leaving a day early.  Nice to get to your destination ready to go.  Who cares about getting home pooped!
