Q&E Babble

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

I agree, waiting on news if you were going to Germany would be stressful.

It's March 1st and snowing......they are calling for an inch by tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 30's all weekend. Come on spring!

I gotta go too. Have to deliver payroll..

You all have the high winds too, Missy? Ours aren't travel advisory level, but they make it bitter outside.

Our winds aren't bad. They are calling for 2 inches now. I'll believe it when I see it. Ray was able to get an earlier flight, so he should be home by 10pm instead of midnight. A little better.

Its snowing here too!!! when I got home from work it had just started to rain, then it turned to freezing rain, and now snow..... Poor DH got home from work, and then he gets a call from his boss saying hes gotta go back in for a few hours( so he comes and gets me from work, drives me home, and goes back to work).... the truck comes from Montreal, and they were delayed because of the snow.... On a happy note, the boss took them all out for breakfast, and they all get a raise! an extra $1.07 an hour! woohoo!!! ( and I had a nice nap with the dog lol) Gus- I would be anxious about Germany too!! Missy- glad Ray will be home earlier! Tracy- not long now until your trip!! how exciting!

It has been snowing here too, all morning.  I want spring to come.......I'm tired of this snow and cold.
Maybe I should bake something today?  But first I need to do all these dirty dishes and clean up the kitchen.  What are you doing today?

I'll go with you, Missy.   I love that place.   I don't know when we'll ever make it back though.   Did Ray love it?  PH has a shopping area in front of it where my pole dancing class was located.

Linda, I think we are all sick of winter.   Spring can come any time.

Mel, great news on the raise.   Was that just for working that extra shift, or is that a permanent raise?

Sandy, any news on your dad?

My house has a foul smell going on.   In one area in my living room it smells horrible.  I am convinced something went under my house and died.   I have all my fingers crossed that it's not a ruptured sewer line.   My house is built on a crawl space.   The original part that is.   I have an addition on the back.  The living room is in the addition, no over a crawl space.   Past the addition a sunroom was added on.   The smell is right at the wall where my addition meets the original house.   So, it's on the border for the crawl space.  There is a bathroom in the addition, so the sewage pipe has to go somewhere.   Jeff doesn't think it would turn back in towards the house though.   But, if that's what it is, the way to fix it will be to rip up my carpet (my 4 year old high end carpet), pull up the wood, and jackhammer up the slab.   Sounds cheap, huh??

There is a burrow hole on the side of my sunroom so a critter is definately living under there.   I'd block up the hole but I don't want to block something in there, so the hole is open.   I am in hopes that something is under there, burrowed closer to the house, and died.   If that's what it is the smell will just eventually go away on it's own.   Without about a $4,000 bill on my part.   I have NO idea how I'd pay that.

Anyone ever have a ruptured sewer line?   My plan is to just wait and see at this point.   If the foul stench goes away on it's own, I'll say dead critter.   It it's still reeking in a few weeks we'll have a huge problem.

Morning Ladies -

Tracy I sure hope it is just a critter that decided to make his or her resting place under your home.  The other possibility "stinks" - sorry couldn't help myself.

Well I slept in this morning.  Something I rarely do.  Just now getting up and about.  NOt sure what is up for me today.  I'll call my brother shortly to find out if they know what they are going to do for or with my Dad.  He had a scan done yesterday and only thing really different is he has more spots on in his lungs which could be why he does not seem to be getting enough oxygen in which in turn is making him dizy.  Whatever is going on will just get progressively worse so we may be looking at him going to a nursing home.  If not today it will be soon.  They may try bringing him home and then have him go to an adult day care during the week.  He shouldn't be left alone all day.  He did have the VNA and a PT person coming to the house but because there was no improvement in his getting around by himself (he wasn't doing his exercises unless the PT person was there) they said Medicare will not approve any more visits.  The tumor itself is really starting bulge out of his neck.  It's pretty sad but we will all get through this.

Sandy, I hate this for all of you. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Tracy, I'm sure that smell has to be horrible. What are the kids saying about it? My kids would be complaining and whining about it for sure. Yes, he had some fun but was in seminars and meet and greets most of the days. He had fun at the casino and the guys even talked him into a spa treatment. Even though he said no way he would go when he left here. lol

It is snowing flurries here. They try to make it a big deal but it's just stupid. Not sticking to the ground at all. They are telling everyone to stay off the streets. I don't get it. This is not a snow storm!
