Q&E Babble
Fri, 12-21-2012 - 7:34am

Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Sooo totally over snow .. and cold

This morning we had a wild ride on the way to work- Mag drove, and her pick up is rear wheel drive - We were fine in our county - going 55 mph and as soon as we hit the next county the roads were just terrible. Thank God there was no one in the other lane !! We went all over that road. I do not know how we didn't lose it - Wait yes I do I Pray every morning =)..  And when we parked the truck and turned off the key she looks over at me and says 'Jesus took the wheel Mom !'

Enough already.

Mel isn't the heartbeat so neat ??

Tracy I bet that soft spot has something to do with the smell- let Jeff fix it for you.

Got a call and John just got home..

So night Ladies !

Oh Mel, how cool is it to hear the heartbeat? Good stuff, huh?

Guss, that is cool to meet a president, no matter where your politics lie. I hope G's teeth come in soon so he can calm down and you can get some sleep.

Renee, that is one of the main reasons I hate snow so much. Driving in it terrifies me. My work car is a rear wheel drive so I know how awful those are to control when it's slick out. I hate it. Glad you all made it to work safely.

My 4:30 mornings are done for the week. YAY! One more wake up for the week and it's the weekend. I am beginning to smell it. And it smells way better than the rotten funk going on in my house these days.

Morning Ladies-

Mel just one heartbeat right?  LOL!  Just kidding.  I am sure you were both over the moon when you heard it!

Guss hope  your baby boy gets those teeth in quick.  Lack of sleep stinks.  I think it is pretty neat to see the President of the US live and in person no matter who it is and even if you didn't vote for him.

Woke up to light snow all over the ground and slippery roads this morning.  All this after two great days in the 50's.  Winter just does not want to go away.

So Renee thinks Tracy has a "soft spot that smells" and tells her to have Jeff fix it?   Oh I am SO not going there this morning!

Good morning ladies!

Thank you Sandy for starting my day with a trip to the gutter LOL

Renee that snow sounds scary to drive in!

It is supposed to be gorgeous here today:-) I think after PT Evey and I are going to get some outside toys from Wal Mart and then play outside all afternoon!

David is en route to Chicago, he left at zero dark thirty, poor thing. Baby B decided to sleep thru the night last night so I feel refreshed!!!! LOL Its amazing what a full night's sleep will do for you. He is currently looking at the cat longingly. He loves the cat, and I can't tell whether the cat loves him or wants to be him. If the baby gets in my bed, the cat tries to lay in between us. The cat sleeps in the baby's swing, bouncer, high chair, he even tries to drink the steam from the baby's humidifier

nyways did I tell y'all Jake got arrested?? He has like 19 charges or something crazy against him,he could do like 100 years in jail if he got the max on everything(he won't) but yeah....guess if you want to dance you have to pay the fiddler.

Oh and David's orders to Germany got deleted...he said he should get new orders in 90 days but we will see

Mel, there's nothing like hearing that heartbeat, is there?

Renee, glad you guys made it into work safe.

Guss, that's funny about the cat wanting to get into the baby's stuff. Sorry to hear about Jake's arrest. I'm wondering where you will be moving next. I'm sure that makes you all anxious. I'll send out Virginia (((((vibes))))).

Had a good visit yesterday with mom, P and Jeffrey. Jeffrey threw a fit when it was time to leave so of course I bawled like a baby too. Poor little Waylon just patted my back as we waked down the hall.

Dr. Larry, the psychologist, came yesterday while everyone was here and we had anice talk. He does recomened family therapy for us, instead of one on one with Waylon. Waylon won't talk to us, so why would he talk to a stranger, and that's been my thing from the get go.  I really like Dr. Larry and wish we were close enough to go to him.  I did find one close to home, so when he comes in today, i will give him her name and number and he can call and feel her out and see if she would be good or not.

Waylon isn't eating anything now. I am at such a loss and feel so helpless.

I am thinking about a trip to Target, I need a couple things, so I may head out there and then do laundry when I get back.  But I don't know if I will or not.

Mel ~ Awesome about the heart beat(s)!!! Can't wait to see if we are team pink or team blue (or one of each!!!!)

Tracy ~ Hope the FUNK goes away ASAP!!!

It snowed on and off all day yesterday, it was yucky. At some points it was a total white out looking out the windows.

Well, I am off to get some water I'm thirsty. Oh and if you walk 16 laps around the floor it is 1 mile!!!! I got a 1/2 mile in yesterday while Waylon was having school and before our company got here!!!

Guss, I am glad you don't have to stress Germany anymore.   That has to be a load off your mind.    I am envious of your nice weather.   We have a ton of sunshine today, but it's only 48° out there.   Brrr....   As far as Jake goes, I bet it's a laod off your mind that he is finally being held accountable for his transgressions.  Any chance of your grandmother getting restitution?   I know, laughable.

Shelly, I am glad you aren't giving up on the therapy.   I don't think it's out there at all to think that a kid that won't talk to his parents will talk to someone else.   My DD did.   When she was in elementary school she met a lot with the school social worker.   She wouldn't tell me what was up with she and her dad but she told this lady all sorts of stuff.  DD told me she was glad she had an outlet to vent to (my words) because she didn't want me to hear what she said.   She took a while to trust that the social worker wouldn't tell me what was said.   Once she got that trust she apparently let it fly.   I never asked.   Not that the worker would have told me what was said.   DD said she didn't think she needed to keep those visits up when she started middle school.   She didn't but she doesn't act all shy and withdrawn like she used to either.  I am a huge fan of counselors.

On another note, do you have a smartphone?   Map My Walk is a great app.   You can start it when you start your walk and it logs the info for you.

As far as my odorous soft spot goes, I have confidence that Jeff will be more than happy to check it out.

Crazy busy at work today.  One of my coworkers is on vacation, another one has been out sick since last Friday (she is really sick too) and the 3rd one has only been with us 4 months.  Guess who gets to pick up all the slack - yup that would be me.  I was pooped when I got home from work but I fed Webster, grabbed something light to eat for myself and then went to a Zumba class.  Now I am ready to hit the sack!

Guss glad Germany stress is gone for you and glad you got a good night's sleep.

Shelly everything is going to be ok.  You are getting Waylon the help he needs and sounds like you are also going to be getting the rest of the family involved too.  I think that is wonferful.  Keep up the walking.  It will help your mental health too!

Well I am dragging so goodnight all!
