Okay, I give.   I am doing it.   I miss PPWM too much.

I want to babble.   I think you all want to babble.  So let’s babble here and then go back to PPWM when they finally get us fixed.   I know, it’s discouraging now, but I am too optimistic for my own good.   I do think iVillage will get this mess fixed.   One day.

For those not on FB, Shelly is monitoring Waylon, debating on a trip to Pitt.   He ran a fever all day yesterday and most of the night.   At her last check in, he’s down to 99.   She’s calling the coordinator this morning.

I had my work party last night.   I took a platter of Jalapeno Cheese Grits.   I have never had 6 people ask me for a recipe before.   I heard they were, “on point” and “ready.”  I love it when I bring the most popular dish.   There wasn’t a scrap left.

Off to get dressed for work.   As of 3:00 today I am done until January 2nd.   And then I can start counting down for my spring break beach trip.

Well, we are home - it was a great, relaxing get-away, but I am happy to be home. The beds are really comfy, but I just didn't sleep well either night. Laundry is in and everyone has retreated to their own spaces!

I tried reading and posting from my phone while we were gone, but it is impossible! I get this weird side bar thing that I try and close, but it doesn't stay closed, so the posts are squeezed over to the side with only one or two words per line. I could handle that if it stayed that way, but it keeps flicking back and forth between the tiny column to blank page, to scrambled windows and links overlapping. Hopeless. I think I got one post read and replied to before I gave up. I never really used my phone to access the boards before the host change, and now I know I never will again! Appalling. Frown

Now Im going to finish up my laundry, and go back to bed for a nap... Been tired and hungry the last few days.... must be the weather or pms! grrrrrr. Plus I got woken up a few times last night, the darling cat has decided to start sleeping on my pillow again... I guess I was so out of it, I didnt even notice that she parked her bum there!

Okay Mel, I got two of the three. Baby, keep on with the WW, and what's #3?

I did not make it to midnight. I am still sick. Yesterday I started the low grade fever. Jeff is sick too. We both stayed home. My kids went to my parent's house for supper. I wasn't hungry. I stayed home on the couch. They were home by 8:00. We watched some episodes of Big Bang and then were in bed by 10:30.

I do feel some better today. I should, I have been battling this cold for 5 days now.

Inspired by Susan, I broke out my old cinammon roll recipe. I haven't made them in years. Mine has a Jiffy yellow cake mix base, mixed with yeast and flour. It takes hours. Let it rise an hour, punch down. Roll out, make the rolls, and then let rise another hour. Very time consuming. But they are almost ready for the oven. I was happy I had one of those small cake mixes in the cabinet. Of course it did say best if used by 12/31/10 on it, but I chose to ignore that.

Today is laundry, light cleaning, and getting ready to get back to work. Yuck, yuck, and yuck.

Sorry you still are not feeling well Tracy.  And I am with you on the back to work tomorrow - YUCK thing!

I made the cinnamon roll waffles this morning.  They were ok for me - John on the other hand loved them.  Anything he can put maple syrup on and get a way with it he adores!

Mel I also know 2 out of the 3 goals you have - keep dropping the weight and keep TTC - what is number 3?

I am begrudgingly admitting that it's probably time for me to get back to work.   I have done nothing today.   Nothing.   Haven't left the house.    Well, I did get laundry folded and some light spot-cleaning done, but I haven't showered or left.   Lazy, lazy day.   I am sort of ready to get my routine back.

You both guessed the first 2! get pregnant, get to my goal weight, and learn how to bloody drive!!! Maybe this town wont suck so bad, if I was actually independent! I said that to my BIL/SIL ( the ones who live in Ottawa) and BIL said no it would still suck here LOL

Ive been so lazy today, I managed to do 1 load of laundry, had a nap, which wasnt that good.. not a good idea to nap right after drinking coffee... couldnt fall asleep, and had to get up to pee LOL.

Watched a few episodes of How I met your mother on netflix. I did do some zumba and just dance 4..  and thats basically the extent of my day! would love another day off!

Yesterday was the last day of my part-time, temp job, so I don't have to go to work tomorrow.  Boss is in the process of hiring another employee, and asked me if I would consider coming in for a day or two to train the two new people how to issue commercial auto policies since nobody there knows how.  It isn't difficult, but there are a few tricks to it, which aren't evident.  I said I would.  I don't enjoy training people, but we are talking only a day or two.

I'm finally working on some projects that were collecting dust here.  I remade a toddler sweater vest into a doggie sweater for my daughter's pug while he was here.  And I am making an unused curtain into a footstool cover for the footstool Amy has in her classroom.  She has her grandmother's upholstered rocking chair in there, and the cover is shot.  A few years ago, a parent volunteer bought inexpensive fabric and made a slipcover for the chair, cushion for the desk chair, curtains for the windows, and a curtain for the cubby under the sink.  She ran out of fabric, but the sink curtain is unused, so I brought it home when we set up the classroom in August with "the best of intentions."  LOL  Four months late, but at least I'm doing it.

School starts Thursday, but I don't have to pick up the kid after school until Monday.  Since I hate winter, I could just hibernate until then.  LOL

I hate winter too, Gaye.   This cold is awful.   But in looking at our extended forecast, our cold front is holding on for the next few days, but no prediction of snow.   Then we warm up to the 50's for several days.   This is the time of year I look and cheer.   If we can make it to the first of March with no snow, we are generally home-free.   But there are certainly exceptions to that and it has snowed in March, and even April, here.   In looking at old pictures over break I found ones in my mom's old book showing a foot and a half of snow on April 11th back in the late 40's.   The label on those said it snowed 19 inches that day, and was 60° and the snow was gone by the next day.   Welcome to Kentucky.

I am ready to get back into a routine and not feel like a slug, but I can't say that I am very excited to get back to work.   I never got out to the grocery yesterday.   I hope I have good stuff to eat in my office as I have nothing for lunch.   I always have peanut butter and jelly, and I always have soup cups, but do I have bread (it would be in the freezer)?   Hmmm...

I am now starting the countdown for spring break.   Jeff and I have our short trip to WV to go snow-tubing in two weeks.   87 days until we leave for the beach.   I can't wait.

We, Jeff and I, are also going to sit down and figure out where to summer vacation soon.   The Keys or Vegas?   Hmmm....   Which one is cheaper?   That will decide it.

Morning Ladies -

Back to work for me today - ugh!  It is freezing cold out, I am tired, I want to go back to bed instead.  Hard to believe it has been 11 days since I had to get my butt into the office.  The last 3 days of my time off was spent at the hospital with my Dad.  Still do not know when he will get sprung out of there which means I'll be heading to the hospital after work today too.  I need a vacation - lol!
